This game is targeting very blatantly:
-Racists (black guys blonde beards and racists names rampant, especially from Qc players)
-Kids who want to "danglez snipez" and have as little resistance as possible to doing whatever they want with the puck.
Its pretty sad.
Omg as someone who has played hockey my whole life, and EA hockey since the start, A couldn't be more true. It's why I get more frustration than enjoyment anymore. The game simply isn't programmed to let you be successful by playing legit hockey. In fact, that works against you because goalies stonewall you.
It's not until you play selfish ballerina hockey, not passing, one man shows, that the goalies become beatable, and in very unrealistic ways. This issue has gotten progressively worse since David littman left.
Shortly after came HUT, and it's been clear their focus shifted to prioritizing their monetization of the game after initial sale, than providing quality products and innovation. Their greed is ruining what used to give me and about 40 others on my friends list hours of FUN daily, to 2 of those people on my list playing a game or two here and there, and I cannot play more than 2 games anymore without being frustrated at the lack of polish and respect for their customers who actually understand, and want to play a legit virtual hockey game.
We want the hockey in this series back. Let your streamers and game changers develop a figure skating games and play that but we want hockey back, and it's pretty clear we've reached a point where I think EA might actually feel their customer losses this year. Let's hope so.

@mikeq6790% of the shots you guys took was at the goalie. Maybe trying to lift the puck once or twice might help. Hell maybe try and screen him for a couple because you know, that indeed works.
Also there needs to be an RNG element to the game to simulate human error. If you guys want accurate and real to life gameplay then I suggest not trying to find that in a video game where not everything is possible.
As a goalie main I love the gameplay this year compared to past titles. We complained about how easy it was to get cross crease cheese goals so they made it harder. Now people are complaining about how hard it is. The NHL community is starting to look like the Call Of Duty community LOL.
They made pass interceptions better for cross crease which is great but they also tuned the goalies way too much for this. They literally make impossible cross crease saves now.
It's frustrating that the goalies are still putting the puck in their own net on this animation. It's been like this for years:

This hurts to watch because it's been like this since Xbox one lol

PHYSICS!!! (tm)
Still seeing this goal being abused a lot. It's seemingly easy to pull off if you get the slightest bit of room:
This is an issue going back to last year: https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-News/This-needs-to-be-fixed/m-p/11146410/highlight/true#M6931
