After today's update the input lag in the World of Chel ONES ELIMINATOR is at what I believe an all-time high.
I have a lot of data to back this up. To start off I am playing on a wired connection, on a dedicated fiber optic line from my ISP, with speeds of 1000/1000,(speed doesn't really matter if you know anything about networking, games only use kbps at a time) along with a 1ms monitor and my PS5 controller wired directly to the console with the data connection through the USB-C cable. I am a top 5 ranked player in this mode I have over 300+ games played with a winning percentage of around 80%. I am well aware of how the game "feels" and runs properly and after today it feels like junk. I am in the NA EAST region and regularly see my ping between 5-9ms if I am connected to either the Ohio or Virginia server and around 10-15 connected to the Montreal server. .If you’re curious I have software that has the ability to see this information and monitor my connection in real time, not just for the game but network wide. Also from what I can see the servers for this game are hosted by Amazon Web Services, and they are reporting nothing of any problems today. I have done ping tests (outside of the game) and trace routes to the specific game servers I was playing in and nothing seems out of the ordinary which leads me to believe something with the update today is causing this. I could go on and on with more info but there is no point because the only people at EA who would be able to fix this are the games devs/engineers and they likely won't even see a comment like this.
i think we found the mystery, talked to my provider, didn't find any errors on sunday and before since my players were acting weird.
Today I was at gamestop, spoke to a salesman who knows the gaming industry well. I explained to him that my game has been totally different since Sunday,
my players are making strange movements and I suspect that my series s is overheating and that's why a hardware error has occurred and that I want to buy a new console.
The first thing he said was the series s and xbox in general does not overheat or very very rarely. Believe me or not he said the same thing as the thread creator wrote here. 99% a cloud/sync error..he saw the 2 gifs that are here, then he said 1000% cloud/sync error..EA will never admit that and never fix it, he said..he as a seller doesn't play EA been playing more for 3 years since EA has these problems.. well guys, not your connection, not your console, not the tv is to blame, it's an error in the cloud storage.. and sorry for my english

@DadaruklijaTrust me, save your money. I have bought THREE Xbox consoles. My original X that worked perfectly fine with NHL21 and other games from May '21 - January '22, before I started having issues with NHL22 (although there was a 2 week period right when NHL22 came out that I had issues, but they temporarily resolved). I bought a Series S in February '22, didn't help. I bought another Series S in July '22 that worked pretty normal on NHL22, to my surprise, but only for the very first night. I returned both S consoles, still have my X, still play some other games (Fall Guys, MLB, etc.) without noticeable delay.
It's not the console. It's not hardware. It's not even the servers in my case. It simply has to be some data transmission bug that affects Xbox processing. That's why I'm focusing on why short term memory/Quick Resume stuff cannot get deleted or reset. - DannytheTemp3 years agoNew Veteran

Mark as solution "for visibility".....and also because it seems like this is definitely the answer that we all knew it was from the very start

It's also in other games.. But you usually only notice it when someone is playing you who is good and knows the game or you're playing somewhere else... E.g. Warzone, Fortnite etc.. You just think, he Your opponent saw you earlier, or you failed to aim, or the opponents are much better, etc., or the game is controlled like that... We have almost more shooter players in the group with the problem...Coyote
But that has something to do with the connection you are writing about..the closer to the servers and the better line, lower ping has an advantage..
If "only" that, the problem was then I could live with it and continue to play FIFA.. with us, who are affected by it, the players behave like brainless chickens..passes starve even though you fully charge, players collide with each other, if it's all what's really bad, which is also not uncommon, is that they don't even sprint.. that has nothing to do with the connection. Whether it's actually caused by the cloud storage, I don't know, I'm not an expert, I can have a say in that, but I don't think it's impossible.. "we" could easily test whether it's the cloud storage or not, by one, the one xbox sx or a ps5 discvers. completely uninstalls the game and then downloads it OFFLINE (do not log in with the profile) and then starts the game with a different or new profile without connecting to the internet -Play 5 games offline as is so you can feel and see the difference, then we can rule out cloud storage/sync if the game still doesn't run perfectly, but if it runs like clockwork then it's definitely cloud storageI found this on german FIFA forum

@Sabrija08Not that I needed to know this, because I have tried it before, but I just uninstalled the game. Re-downloaded it. Unplugged my ethernet, signed out, loaded the game from scratch (original menus), chose not to sign in and not save data. Went to Offline Free Skate, where I test it normally..........and it's normal. I don't think I've ever tried it not signed into some account, even an alternate. Not that it matters because the point is to sign in online and play.
It's so painfully obvious that it's a Cloud issue, or something with the Cloud interacting with the Xbox itself. It would be nice if it got the attention it deserved. THE ISSUE IS IN NEON LIGHTS. IF this doesn't bring us closer to some actual solution, then we'll never get one.Edit to add:
Kept my Xbox running for 2 hours while away. Came back, still worked fine. Fast, no delay OFFLINE.
Plugged my ethernet cable in, signed in online, reloaded the game (given choice between loading system and cloud; I've tried both, doesn't matter), instantly felt heavier OFFLINE.
I've created a new account before, so it's not limited to my main tag. It's practically bludgeoning us over the head with what the issue is.
