Game is really a joke, I can't say it is a cloud issue for me because I have no issue offline, once I turned freesync off my HP Omen monitor I realized there was actually a slight delay prior and since everything offline was so smooth. Went from winning Squad battles games 8-1, 7-2, to 13-1 16-1 etc.
The connection to servers is the key I believe because I can play VS all night and not experience this thing everyone in this thread experiences.
I was thinking about changing my ISP to see if they route differently to the server but from other's experience it seems that won't help either. The silence on the side of EA is pretty telling, look at FIFA forums; they have thousands of people complaining about same thing and no one there says "We aren't getting enough complaints" they just ignore the threads lol Wish we could get EA developer or network person to explain the issue to us.
Here i have something from the german FIFA Forum, i translated it into English
So what you are all describing right now, especially @Xxstarplayerxx0, seems more likely to be due to a problem in the execution of FIFA 23.
It's definitely not the internet. If it were just a connection issue, you'd have permanent stuttering, freeze with sudden fast-forwarding, or significant asynchronous delays. And that's only for online games.
But this is also about gameplay in offline modes, i.e. where only the locally saved program on your own hard drive works during a game.
Since, as is well known, it either always works well for some and only temporarily for others, and others report that it suddenly stopped working after a patch, it may well be that the installation of a patch did more damage than it did should have fixed. Patch files contain all the errors that need to be corrected, which are then corrected at the appropriate points in the Fifa main program. After all, no complete main program is replaced.
Would we be surprised if a patch would destroy the entire gameplay when installed? At least some bugs were not fixed, contrary to the changelog, or new bugs suddenly appeared after an installed patch. In individual cases, a patch can also destroy the entire gameplay.
Have you ever deleted all FIFA completely (including all scores, squad files, etc., absolutely everything) and downloaded the latest version in its entirety, i.e. without having to run any patches over it? Maybe several times in a row, if you notice that it's still not playable offline?
Well at least that's what I do whenever I find the game running noticeably different or glitchy after a patch has been installed. And when my game console downloads and installs something, I always wait to play until everything is downloaded and installed, so as not to load the hard drive with too many reads and writes, which could potentially result in the risk of errors.
At least on a PlayStation, the complete patch is always downloaded first and then the data on the patch file is gradually copied into the main program. In other words, it is checked when and where which data from the patch file has to be copied into the main file of FIFA 23.
