"But I notice that now when I start FIFA. If the menu starts to run strangely, I turn it off immediately and gamble on something else if necessary. For me, it actually only runs smoothly in the middle of the night and very early in the morning. It's funny when it's funny again, even offline gameplay is affected. The engine is just screwed up."
I'm from the eastern US. This couldn't describe my issue better, and this guy is on FIFA in Germany. I'll say again: zero issues before the new Frostbite engine in NHL22. FIFA has been on Frostbite since 17. There's even an old video linked in that forum that talks about signing in offline and not saving data. I came to that conclusion myself that the game runs better, at least until signing in.
It's a hilarious farce that we are being gaslit into this being an issue for only a minor part of the community......across multiple titles! While I don't doubt it's a minority, even 5% of the population is MASSIVE. This does not appear to be limited to NHL nor to North America.
Still chuckling at this logic:
"We will provide an update when we have one. But also we can't replicate this issue, so there will be no updates. Thank you for your time."

I just don’t get how it doesn’t seem to affect everyone. I’m sure there are plenty of players who just don’t have enough experience on NHL games to even notice it, but I also know a lot of long time players who don’t have any problems.

For me the same pattern repeats almost every time. First one or two Rivals or Champs are pretty good but then every game mode becomes unplayable. This could also happen in the middle of the game. Usually I win those first games. Feels like some kind limiter goes on and my opponent has been given some kind of advantage against me.
It feels like something resets when x amount of time has passed, and you can play two good games again. Always the same no matter which time I'm playing.

Yup, same exact thing for me. I don’t even think i have ever really gotten through a single game where it is consistent and responsive the whole way through. But the first few minutes of the first game are always amazing. It’s driving me insane

Now it works even with number one user, delete the game and save data with your first user, create a new user, download trial version via ea play (with a new user), try it! works for me.

- 3 years ago@HarlEem1985 On my PS5, I have noticed that after one of the sony system updates in November, the system was running a lot hotter than normal. Who's to say that these "next-gen" consoles aren't some of the blame too...

Hey ALL,
Just wondering...
On the Playstation version, as in my case, I bought the game for my PS4, installed and played it on the PS4 until I got the PS5.
When I got the PS5 two months later, I did the playstation conversion where it downloaded and installed the PS5 version, but it also downloaded and installed the PS4 version too. Both game versions can be run.
Has anyone tried playing the previous gens version on their newer system to see if it works any better???
Just a thought as to narrowing down possibilities...

- 3 years ago@9up3dprurovj It doesn't affect everyone because not everyone has the same ISP, lives in the same area, has identical hops and network nodes as others etc. There is a reason why majority of top 50 Champ every week are in same geographical area. Mainly Montreal, some Vancouver etc. What do you think explains how an area with less than a few million people compared to the whole NE USA is over represented in top tier of the game? What about the rest of Canada? People in Calgary Edmonton Winnipeg and Newfoundland not good enough? Next year's game if AWS lets EA use their new Calgary data center will show us some more clear cut evidence of this especially if all of a sudden people from Calgary are squeezing in the top 50 of Champions.
