We usually get the cover athlete at the NHL awards or maybe a teaser. Is the NHL franchise cancelled or something?

@Sega82mega Duchene isn't worthy of a cover. Leo Carlsson isn't officially an NHLer until he plays his games.
McDavid should be the obvious choice if they truly are bringing the goodness with NHL 24. I'm sure they will throw in some female on the cover because it makes them look good. I'd personally love to see a MacKinnon and Crosby cover together.

Either put a cup winner on the cover or go a simple legends/historic moment route - so much to choose from

Not only would I like to know when we have the announcement for NHL (and from what I read, it would be in August), I'd love for it to be finally a PC release. But I don't think a PC release will happen, so...
