NHL 24 Feature Suggestions

You know I have been playing E.A NHL since the 93 edition and I have to admit that I really have loved this game through the years and have really appreciated the advances and new ideas this title has given us through the years. The graphics are obviously light years better since those early years but one of the things that I appreciate the most is all the ideas that I thought would be really cool and admittedly,I didnt write E.A about these things! They just did them on their own!

i remember the 1st time I seen created players! That was probably my favorite edition to this day!

then through the following years I started thinking.....wouldnt it be cool if they did this and did that and low and behold.....They did it on their own!

 I thought of the idea of created teams and then I thought of created uniforms and as I said they did it on their own! I also remember what a bummer it was to see your players only play 1 season and you had to start over fresh and then they blow my mind and bring forth the game changer.....Franchise MODE!

I loved how proactive they were back in the early to late 2000s.

1st I must say that I really wish that E.A would start hiring WAYYY more programmers and producers.....specifically NHL!

I have heard from a former employee that they thought the same thing!

i also would like to say that all these other modes are only taking away from the bread and butter of your game......That is Franchise mode

I could care less about CHEL or HUT and I know a hell of a lot of players feel the same way!

What im concentrating on in this post is Franchise and Creation modes!

BE a Pro is fine and I would keep that,but I would ditch CHEL and HUT or make them their own title!

Season mode is almost obsolete now that Franchise mode exists and 3s are kind of fun but for me it is offline Franchise mode witha  heavy emphasis on everything creation mode!

The best way to encapsulate my wishes is one word or maybe 2.......More...or LOTS MORE of everything

->One of the biggest things I would like to see is wayyyyyyyy more animations! Whether its single player or in the crowd or the referees,I would like to see emotions and non verbal gestures.....Let me give you only a few examples......(Players laughing,Players taking off their helmets,Players spitting on the ice,Goalies reacting many different ways upon giving up a goal other than just smashing their stick on the posts.....I mean what about making the goalie look up or taking his mask off or getting a drink of his water bottle or something else!.....Maybe a combination of these things)I would like to see players just more realistic and engage each other more AND also the crowd! When someone gets a goal,their face should show some excitement and etc.

->Either add wayyyy more faces or come up with a new face generator and .....some of the faces look way to similar and many times the best way to differentiate your players is if one has a beard and one dont.....How about scars and more definable contours in the face

->Hairstyles? I would like to see 15 more hairstyles

->Facial Hair is where you all need to really up your game! You need way more facial hair designs and levels of hair growth as well as textures......You have what? essentially 4 levels of growth and then clean shaven......Add 2 more levels of growth and also,NOT everyone has a bushy beard! Some people have ZZ Top style beards,NOT bushy

Ideas for new facial hairs------Soul Patch,Edging/chiseling,Handlebar mustache,Braided beard

->Helmets....at least 4-6 more and maybe a different brand other than the "usual suspects"

->Visors......I think you can do a little more there but admittedly not a whole lot more....theres 6 now.....How about 2 more styles

->Visor colors.......Definitely more colors.....like 8 more unique colors

->Pads/Tucks..........Medium shoulder pads?......How about a jersey front tuck as opposed to just the right,left,back and no tuck

->Sticks.....I think youve all done a pretty good job in the amount and different brands BUT remember as a general rule of thumb,...MORE is always better,unless its acne(More Easton stix)

->Gloves....Same as above,plus MORE is always better

->Skates etc.......Definitely need more Skates(Easton,Reebok,Nike,Maybe even Under Armour)

->Wraps......WAYYY more of them stick wraps! What is there? 20 or 24? Come on,you could damn near double that number!!!

-> Goalies......I think youve done a pretty good job with Goalie Pads butI would like you all to add Reebok and some other brands and yeah,MORE is ALWAYS better!....Probably my biggest gripe with the Goalies are the masks! NOW,I dont mind that you have the option to use some of these other leagues Goalie masks BUT I would like to see FRESH unique ideas and theme masks....I mean I would keep all the leagues BUT i would add another section for total original ideas

->Attributes.........You all have Slapshot Power and Accuracy as well as Wrist shot Power and accuracy.....How about Slap shot and Wrist shot Quickness for another attribute,What about leadership as another attribute

->X Factors was a nice touch and having said that....MORE is ALWAYS better!

->Celebrations.....NOW with all due respect I really wish youd pick your "game" up with this one.....We NEED wayyyyy more Cellys......Some ideas---Dropping the Mic,Touchdown,Muscle Flex,Raise the roof,The M Bison,Arrogant Arm folding,Dust Off my collar,Arms in an X,Walk like an Egyptian ......just some suggestions!!!

->I really would like to see an option to place players in upcoming drafts all the way out to say maybe 10 years as opposed to the current ....4-5 years out

Now,as far as The Teams portion....here we go

->I first want to say Thank you all and give credit to where credit is due,and im speaking of you Logos....You finally added quite a few more but Im still perplexed as to why you wont add a Tornado,A Phantom,A Piranha,A Norse God,A Tyranosaurus,,...Just some ideas to gnaw on....(Plus add more of each of the existing....like a couple Tiger Logos and a couple Lions)

Furthermore,per the Jerseys and Unis,I want to say I totally wish youd add an option to spell the teams name on the front,whether the city or the team name....In a bow or diagonal etc.

->I would definitely like to see more jersey blueprint ideas.....and I would like to see some Original ideas NOT just the existing NHL teams and AHL .....As ive told other people on this issue,you guys should have a treasure trove of unique jersey concepts cause every time a new team comes into the league,there are countless individuals designing jersey ideas and ONLY 1 of them get selected so there are probably hundreds of fresh and original ideas out there that each team has said no to!

I would very much like to see the option for my team to have more than 3 uniform ideas,other than Home,Away and Alt.....Many teams have like 10 uniforms too choose from !

I would like to see at least 5-6 uniforms that i could choose from game to game

->Definitely More Pants!!!

->Sox.....Satisfactory But more is always better

-> Fonts........Definitely more Fonts for the jerseys!!!

->Arenas/Stadiums......We need Alot MORE than just 10 ideas for the NHL...As Ive seen someone say and I agree,....The 10 stadiums dont look exactly different BUT low and behold you have a couple of real neat looking ideas for AHL teams! I would like to see like 8 more ideas for arenas!

->Scoreboards.....Similar to the arenas.....You have 8 I believe? I would like to see 6 more scoreboards

-> I would like to choose some REAL music that I LIKE.......like AC-DC,GnR,The Ramones,etc

->More Mascots and Props

I also want to give you all credit where credit is due and say I am very impressed with all the different ways youve made to customize the teams and franchises and the seemingly marginal things youve done are still nice to have

Now part 2 of Overall Presentation

->I would like to see each game the players skate out of the tunnels BUT you could also mix it up and sometimes make them already on the ice and during the skate around players talk and just make it different each time in small ways

->I want to have the Zamboni between periods and if you dont wanna watch then you have the option to push a button anytime and skip

->I would like to see players even sign autographs occasionally

->More interactions with the crowd and more camaraderie on the bench with as mentioned ...wayyy more animations

->Add more dialogue each year BUT dont take any away

->It would also be kind of neat and a special touch of flare to take what I would call cutaways and have "a camera" in the stadium hallways showing people in at the snack bar and show the team gift shop real quick

->I would LOVE to see a noticably different atmosphere in the playoffs and especially in the Stanley Cup Finals!

->Upon winning the cup,The next season's 1st home game there would be an elaborate ceremony with the banner raising and rings handed out to each of the players.

-> I would like to see retired plus honored Jerseys as well and when a player retires they will be considered for the H.O.F

->I LOVE how you all added the record book! Great idea and one of the ideas I thought of within the last 5 years that You all added on your own,however I would like to see it go well past only 5 names!!!

Have a top 10 instead of Top 5

-> I have to say this,there is one thing you all need to definitely totally overhaul and that is the fighting!!! It is so boring,1 dimensional and predictable

-> You could also stand to tweak the checking,believe it or not cause some of those checks look cartoonish!.....I think the checking looked better back in the 2018-2019 versions

You could seriously take this game to a whole other level if you would add this stuff!

My wish is for each game to be somewhat unique from other games,and I dont mean just scoring. Players LOVE realism and lots of variety in every aspect of the game!

The crazy thing is I have wayyyy more ideas and some are very unique and original but i dont want to just display my ideas right here for everyone to take.

In closing,I wish youd all actually get a hold of some of us and talk to us whether its on F.B,or Messenger or some other format! Youd be pleasantly surprised at all the creative ideas we have and you could pull from a huge and never ending ocean of ideas.
