Does this only happen when you edit your loadout while in a lobby or is it happening just by loading in to a lobby? Also, if you're using a custom gamerpic, try changing it to a default one and see if that helps. Thank you.
The same thing happens on PS5. And not when editing, but simply when choosing a layout. You already wrote about it. This has been happening for several years now. You don't fix.

Is this happening in drop-ins, clubs or both? Also, does it happen every time or is it intermittent?
It happens anytime I load into world of chel. Lately it’s been a 50% chance of letting me play. I will try the gamer pic change but I don’t see how that would impact me choosing a position in the menus

Yeah, it's a weird one for sure, but it has caused these issues in the past so it's worth a shot.
Is there a different issue you're facing when loading in to WoC? The problem with picking a position happens after you've loaded in to it.
- @EA_Aljo This happens when playing for the club. From time to time someone cannot choose a layout. The room freezes.
The probability of such a 30 - 40 percent. Every second or third game, the room has to be reloaded.
And another very common bug: the invitation to the game does not work. When you try to enter by invitation, it gives an error message.
It is also almost impossible to use X. This always results in a 2 minute penalty. Instead of a penalty, do it so that the player simply cannot knock out the club.
This is very annoying for everyone.
I ask my friends why they don't post on the EA forum. They answer that EA has not fixed the same bugs for many years and it is pointless to write something to you. And that I'm a naive person, because I'm trying to write something to EA. You still won't do anything. - EA_Aljo3 years ago

Every time I choose a position, I get the attached error. It's only club games. No idea why? Has this happen to anyone else.

I moved your post to the already existing thread on this. Please try what is suggested here and let me know what happens. Also, you can try deleting the personal saved data for NHL 23. It's possible you could lose any offline saves and changes to settings. Normally, those will download from the cloud, but I can't guarantee that will happen. Go to Settings/Storage/System. Locate NHL 23 and delete the saved data.
