Hey there, @speed4rabbit 

Thanks for getting in touch about this. If this just started happening recently, you may just need to power cycle everything. To do that, follow these steps: unplug your modem/router and console. After 2 minutes plug in the modem/router. Let them come back online completely. Then plug in your console and start it up. Let me know if that helps or not.

    Disconnected Console and Router from Power and Connected them again.

    Played a Rivals Game. Got a win. Disconnected from EA Servers after the Game ends.

    Try going in to safe mode and rebuilding your database with the steps here

    You can also try using alternate DNS settings with these instructions. If you don't see a difference, try the Google DNS servers. Those are: Primary alt number 8.8.8.8 - Secondary alt number 8.8.4.4.


    Do you have UPnP enabled on your router? Also, what is your NAT set to? You can find that by viewing the network settings screen on your PS5.

    So i have now rebuild my database in safe mode on my PS5.

    Set the DNS to Google DNS

    UPnP was already enabled on my router.

    My NAT Type is set to Type 2

    Played a Rival Game, after the Game lost connection to the EA Servers....

    Thats so frustrating, playing, winning and the the connection to the EA Servers is lost.

    What is happening in the Game here??

    @speed4rabbit 

    It's an odd issue. I'm not seeing other reports of this so we're not aware of any issues. When I've seen this with other games, it was due to issues with the connection and not our game/servers. As a test, would it be possible to switch your connection to a mobile hotspot and see if the same thing happens?

    Also, are you playing through a wired or wireless connection?

    I use a wired connection between the PS5 and the Router.

    But what is happening in the Game exactly after the Game ends?

    The Rivals Game is Peer to Peer? Why loosing the Connection to the EA Servers

    @speed4rabbit 

    Rivals games are on dedicated servers. Not peer to peer. Game data is being sent to our servers so it seems something might be blocking that. Have you checked your router for a firmware update? Did you happen to enable a firewall of some sort when this started happening?

    Please provide me with the DNS name or IP Adress of this dedicated Server. I am from germany. I would like to make a traceroute to this Server.
