Re: Goalies need some fixing on this play

Other then that kid, how does the game feel so far, is there any annoying behavior that started to take over, or does the game feel nice and steady?

Good to see you again friend.

I still see LT abuse the more I creep up the OVP standings. Currently hovering around #1,200 ranking. Not my best year, but I'm slowly starting to get more wins than losses and my goal is to crack the top 500 by the end of the year.

LT has evolved to be more of a tool to bait the A.I. and it's causing me to switch control of players more frantically than I would like.

Possession of loose pucks tend to favor the offense (the player who initially lost possession) and I'm still trying to find out why that annoys me. Not sure if that's by design just yet.

'23 seems to be more of a mental game. As soon as I get flustered, it seems my opponents can seize that opportunity more so than previous years. I'm finding that if you can be resilient through defensive lapses, you still stand a chance against the top players. I played against a player in the top 50 and lost in OT. It was a 'sweaty' game as the kids say, but quite honestly I didn't see my opponent try anything 'cheap' other than circling around behind the net waiting for me to have a brain fart on D. 3-on-3 OT in OVP is a crapshoot and skilled LT users definitely have an advantage there.

Overall, despite my initial concerns on defence, I'm actually enjoying that part of the game aside from the possession issues off a dislodged puck that I mentioned earlier. I feel there needs to be more randomness there.

I'm offensively stunted though. I'm still trying to find what works for me and I've taken a LOT of losses from simply not being able to captilize on my chances. Something I'm working on though.

Have you picked it up yet?

@KidShowtime1867 23 is more mental because when you're down or you're not playing well you tend to become more aggressive defensively. In 23 that's a hugeeeeee mistake against anybody with any skill in this game. In 22 there were possible rewards for being aggressive, this year it hurts you so much more because of a whole bunch of mechanics designed to nerf defense this year.

Always been a fan of that mental game. Cold as ice. Becomes a chicken race, who will draw first.

Every NHL game I've played has been too much of a run and gun show, sounds like 23 is more my cup of hockey.

Even though that LT' sounds worrisome, still not in perfect place sence the start of vision control, I think the fact that you cant really blow a tire makes it difficult to adjust the LT to a realistic point.

Puck + glue + stick + endless of possibilities to use vision control to any angles/directions on the ice with no direct penalty to your balance or puck control, thats sweat in your face..

Not there yet, no NHL for me more then what I get from my TV. 50% miss it, 50% is enjoying 'the holliday', my blood-pressure thanks me every day.

I cheer for you my friend, hope you punch your opponent's in their face, break a leg buddy!

    Talk soon! 😊👏
