Askarov played in the KHL last year. He won’t be added until he finally plays an AHL/NHL game. EA does not have the rights to KHL players 

Askarov was already sign in AHL game roster as reserve goalie, hope they will add prospects asap, not like in NHL 22...

Wow this is a lot of players already!! EA please read this and get this updated please!!

Its every year the same process. Minimum one NHL game or the AHL Rookies need to sign a kind of waiver form till they could be added. The AHL Rookies who played some AHL games at the end of last Season did it with a PTO ( professional try out ) so not legit to add. For example, Brisson, Helleson and many others. New added black screen Player without a headshot Image are no fun. Expect a good Roster update not before mid, end of November.

I don't have any details on upcoming roster updates. Normally, they are announced on our official channels.

As far as missing players go, that is normally due to not having their licensing rights.

Every year there is a thread about missing players and every year you gave the same answer. I know that you are totally right on license on some players, but each year there is also situations that prove that issue is not only about license but player who are missing because someone seems to forgert their existance. Take Kaiden Ghule and Ryker Evans. Both player are drafted and signed by their pro teams (MTL and SEA). Both player were in the game in the WHL last years. Both players were know to turn pro this year. But with the first roster in the game this year Guhle is in the WHL and Evans is missing. There is plenty of others exemples. This is not a license missing before their first nhl game this just slopiness on building the roster at launch. Xhekaj and Mysak both sign by MTL and in the OHL in the game last year. Both players know to turn pro this year. But in the roster we have at launch Mysak is in the OHL and Xhekaj is missing.

We can't add players to their NHL teams until they play their first NHL shift. I'll try to find out the status of these 2 players.

Yes I know. But Guhle is not on is NHL team is on is WHL team so he is not missing from the game. Players like Xhekaj or Evans are just missing. At launch the CHL roster is from last season, so with this logic they should be in the launch roster like Guhle. Its not just the two player I use in exemple there is more players missing that should be there in the CHL at launch. Its frustrating for player who play offline franchise because yes we know that player comming from NCAA and KHL wont be in the game before at least the first roster update but there is no excuse for player who were already in the game last year in the CHL or the AHL especially when some player are there and other are not (talking about players in the same situation) it really prove that is not a license thing for these players. Another exemple is Gianni Fairbrother who play in the AHL (Laval) last years and he is still in the AHL this year but he is missing from the game. This is not a license thing because he should be in the AHL with Laval plain and simple but he is not. This is the point of this post, people who play offline dont care that player are not directly with their NHL team they just want the players to be in the game because after that in franchise mode we can move up the player in the NHL or AHL.

I don't have details on the next roster update, but there should be additions to the rosters. If we don't include a player, it's due to not having their rights. We can't have players in the game that we don't have rights to.

Ok , so how come you dont have the right to a player who was in the AHL last year and he still in the AHL this year on the same NHL contract ? 

Some players are missing by mistake thats all. We just try to give constructive feedback on roster.

We all know the licence things but if look at some situation its clears the player are missing because of a mistake. If you dont have the answer its ok, like I said its mostly just feedback that I wanted to give.

This is perhaps the first year that it's a week after the game's release and the rosters aren't up to date. A lot of players are missing including Sedlák (Colorado) Regenda (Anaheim) and others. At the same time, 4 to 5 rounds have already been played. Any chance the update will come out this week or next month?

Players have to agree to be in the game. If we don't get their signed paperwork stating this, they can't be included.

@EA_AljoI found out why so many Players have no headshot Images all the years. Nothing to do with license, you have them all with the NHLPA license you bought. You simply use the Images from one year ago. You also did this Image work for NHL games long time ago, maybe spring every year. Thats why are so many Images missing and many have old pics from years ago. So no up to date work in summer for this, simply old. So once again ..... If your company is to lazy to add current new pics, let us do it in our custom Rosters. Luckily I didn't bought NHL 23.

This is incorrect. We have to use the images sent to us by the leagues each year.

@EA_AljoSure the Images which was sent by the Leagues in spring from last year ( Season 2020/21 ) and not the current from the Teams which they made at the Player presentation mid September. I guess you added this photos to the game in spring. The most are no up to date Player pics. Your Rosters are horrable also about the Player attributes and ratings and this since years. Sorry to say, but poor work for a multi million Dollar company. By the way why you don't use the Images from Hut for the headshot portraits ?

They all and more played games last year and some years before like Boldy and Kochetkov

And please remove the many old headshots from last year and year before. We have now start of Season 22/23 and not Season 21/22.

@EA_Aljo No  new headshot pictures in the roster update from today ? Hope you will update at the next update together with the AHL Rookies. Notice that the most pics are old and from Season 21/22 or older. If you don't have current for the missing than use pics from Hut. It can't be so hard to do that. Thanks !

We are required to use the images sent to us by the leagues at the beginning of the year. If they are missing an image, chances are good they won't be updated in the current game.
