Years ago Madden spoke about players muscular system.. nothing changed. Now they have a skeleton? It's just hard for me to beleive in anything they say after being inept at best and lying at worst. They're a big company and they have to "say" they made lots of changes to ensure people will want to buy it. I'll be surprised if this technology makes any difference at all. I'll be happy to be proven wrong.
It's the reason I have asked for years that goalies have separate limb movement with like a range of areas so they can actually pick off some shots going top corner from time to time. But with pretty much set animations as a scorer against AI goalies it becomes knowing when, where, and how to get them goals because it's AI and once you learn the programming of it then it's easier.

If I had a dollar for everytime I've seen a loose puck in front of the net and the goalie just sit there seemingly having no clue where the threats are or where the puck is and someone comes in and slaps it in.. or maybe a really weak rebound and the goalie just stays in the middle of the net as someone comes in and taps it in the side that he defelcted it to.. these were areas we were told they would have been improved. To make it even less of a debate, how upset have people been about the pregame stuff this year that we thought would be included? I just tend to beleive everything they promise seems to be much less than what we expect. Again I'll be happy to be wrong but it's just what most people have learned to expect from the company.

@rsandersr47My guess is that when the puck is loose the goalie doesn't judge threats and simply gets an idea of where the puck is. It's why when you pick up a loose puck and shoot it almost right away it has a high scoring chance.
I mean with pucks getting directed into the corners at times I would say is their idea of pucks not always giving juicy rebounds. Even in the real NHL goalies can give up stupid rebounds for easy goals. It's just usually defense isn't so stupid in real life they let a person off the puck attack the net.
Always have to take their changes as something that can happen and not as something that will always happen. At least when it comes to the Michigan and Flip puck over the net goal we should be thankful it doesn't happen often or it would be a nightmare.Like here are some juicy rebound goals.

- rsandersr473 years agoSeasoned Ace@KlariskraysNHL Yeah, besides sending rebounds to the corner.. this whole feature just doesn't seem to have made a big difference https://www.ea.com/games/nhl/nhl-20/news/gameplay-deep-dive-intelligent-saves
This year.. the game intros were at the very least exaggerated. We thought every team would have something.
Open multiple bags at a time in woc! Well... if they're the same type of bag..
I actually just looked back at all the main features that were added since NHL 18 and each game has roughly 5 or so.. almost all of them included more gear/clothes and new presentation stuff so down to 3 changes.. 1 is always a new way to play ones, (threes, eliminator, new BAP, new storylines in BAP, New franchise options) and 1-2 gameplay updates.. dekes, skill stick, goalie changes, AI updates. I mean I knew each game didn't add a lot but I was kinda thinking every game added a BIT more. And to think skill stick was removed and readded.. so defensively they've gotten no improvements since I've started playing the game, and after breaking the stick lift they've only made it worse haha!
So it is hard to get a ton of examples for their lack of ability to add new gameplay features because honestly it's only about 1 per year. Madden gets a lot and it's much easier to point out how a lot of their stuff is never what it's hyped up to be. There are popular YouTube channels that breakdown the problems with every feature they add to madden.
At 5:43 he will start explaining the problems he has already seen with Sapien technology. It's just fancy words and over exaggeration. All they did was update their animations. He is not allowed to release video of that right now but once he is allowed to he will show all the problems and break it down further. EA is just REALLY good at selling people on stuff.
