Are they going to fix strategies in the game so we can go back and edited them like we did in previous games? (picture I’ve provided.)

You’re not the coach, but you do still get to decide who plays on what line and players will come to you to complain about ice time. We also assign you a random coach and don’t offer any replacement options. Also, you are only the GM, but make sure the facility is maintained. Not a shot at you @EA_Aljo , but this sure is some kind of EA logic.

@EA_Aljo , that’s fine and all. The problem is when you fire your coach, and hire a new one the strategies DO NOT change to the new coaches preferences.that means we are stuck with the same default strategies of our first coach for the duration of franchise mode. That means that if I have a defensive coach but want to switch to an offensive strategy set I cannot, no matter who I hire.at least last year I could manually change my line strategies and defensive instructions to match my new coach.how do you guys not see this as a problem?

You know, because you’re not the coach, you’re the GM. The mode is still called Be a GM, right? Everyone at EA listening to them: Yeah, that sounds good, because I’ve never thought of anything in this game beyond the surface level. I’m sure no one will be upset. That gives me an idea about presentation….

I'm not sure I understand this. Coach tasks include determining who plays on what line, yet the user can still edit lines. Once the game starts users can change strategies, edit lines, and also determine who plays how much...But strategies cannot be edited/saved on a "permanent" basis? This completely lacks logic. Hypothetically, this is the equivalent of not allowing a user to select offensive and defensive playbooks in Madden because of the coach you have in Franchise.This is bad change, and should be corrected.

The "you're not the head coach" excuse makes absolutely no sense. We're not the players either, yet we can still control them and play in-game.It's just a badly implemented idea, from the start. I get that EA wants the coaches we hire to influence the game. But removing the ability to set our own strategy isn't the way to go. It never was. Coaches should have ratings, just like players, where they are better in certain scheme, not so good in others. That would make a lot more sense than forcing us to play a system we don't like.

@EA_Aljo What about asking the dev team the reason why we were locked out of editing players? And if it will come back?
Same with editing strategies.. as we know the reason “we’re not the coach” makes absolutely zero sense since we edit lineups, hot dog prices etc etc.. is the reason we were locked out of it because of all the bugs with it that still aren’t fixed?

@jb24242424 I’ve been asking for the reason why the locked us out of editing players mostly.. and if they will unlock it for us… even askinf EA Aljo for months.. or even a year at this point and they just ignore my question each time
I’m assuming we were locked out of strategies because of the bugs, that they knew about but didn’t say.. and instead EA Aljo used the “you’re not the coach” excuse to cover up, because that doesn’t make any sense lol…

You're welcome to draw your own conclusions, but that's really not the case. When I asked about this, the answer I provided is what I was given. If I get any other details on this, I'll relay them.

@EA_Aljo The information you were given was that you don't have any details on why the change was made and you probably never will. That is not an answer- they refused to answer you is what you are telling us. If they don't want you to know, then it is most likely they don't want us to know - not that they are personally spiteful toward you.

@EA_Aljo So if they “provided” an answer for locking strategies (which makes zero sense) why not one for locking edit players?
Is that why Franchise Mode edit lines isn’t working right now? Are we locked out because we aren’t the coach? It wouldn’t make sense to lock strategies and leave edit lines unlocked… because after all, we aren’t the coach so really we shouldn’t be able to edit lines either right
