@Eddie_Shore1793 Cross crease goals should work more than they do. The goalie will make desperation saves on 2-1s on cross ice feeds but he cant stop the guaranteed forehand goal. Either skate around the goalie on the forehand or back hand forehand deke for a sure goal.
@17ZxxzxxZ17 I agree, you probably shouldn't be able to do the same dekes over and over and have them work 100% of the time but at least it takes some effort/skill to get into a position where you can execute those dekes and the opposing player generally has to make a mistake on defense to allow that to happen as opposed to just being able to fire a pass through 3 defenders for the easy cross-creaser of yesteryear.
Not sure if I agree that cross crease goals should go in more than they do though. It seems like it's about 50/50 now in the game and I do see goalies stop a lot of them and possibly close to that ratio IRL.
