Maybe you guys are spamming or something. My opponents make many penalties using the stick lift, but they do their stick lifts in NHL 22 way which is bad in NHL 23, and I like it.
I counted number of my stick lifts in NHL 23 tonight and here are the results:
* number of stick lifts - 37
* successful stick lifts without penalty - 34
* stick lifts caused penalty - 3
Only 3 penalties. Just play carefully and that's all.
In NHL 22 you could do the stick lift from anywhere and anyhow, mostly without any consequences which was an absurd for me. Are you sure you want to back to that?
As long as goalies can make the saves in the cheese goals then yes. I would rather give the opponent a lesser chance of scoring a PS then give him/her 10 in one game (exaggerating a little). If a goalie can save a Gordon Bombay triple deke then I wouldnt care about this to much. Half the time I stick lift my stick doesn’t touch the player and the slashing animation go full force.
