Its been 2 years maybe more that the speed exploits are in the game...its a game breaking exploit that allows you to skate super fast by sort of wiggling left and right while skating in full stride by using some timing to give little skating moves to the right for instance. The glitch where you skate in the board and bounce back super fast and so on so forth.. Just follow some top teams and watch them play in 3s especially (although it happens in 6s too but a bit less effective)I have a "friend" who thought us how he does it so its basically the equivalent of bunny hoping from old school counterstrike. You allow this to keep these exploits in the game, dont ban people abusing them.....This game is not competitive. Feel free to discount me as a liar because I dont learn to clip it for you...play your game. No way you cant follow some games from top teams and see it for yourself...if you are so disconnected from your community to know about this, and your community is so rotten that nobody who knows how comes and show you....you have some SERIOUS issues with the legitimacy of this game. Its pure cancer right now and watching people constantly abuse mechanics to stay competitive, ruining the game in the process is one of many reason why people are sick of playing.

The game is just full of cancerous players. No integrity. Just "well, they're doing it so that must mean I should stoop to their level". It doesn't set an example for the community and it sure as hell doesn't motivate the developers to make any real changes. The short side glitch was replaced by far side. The poke check trip was replaced with stick lift slashing penalties. Hits are nearly useless if you're not perfectly positioned. So, again, there is no motivation for players to get creative with their defensive game. It's just use the aim assisted poke check as it nearly never ends up in tripping penalties. Even if you're not in a good position. If you're going to hand out slashing or hooking penalties when you're not positioned properly. You should hold the same standard for the poke check. NHL 23 is not a good look on EA Sports. We know their FIFA franchise is their prized child. Madden is looking to get cancelled over multiple years of failure. I honestly don't see NHL getting any better. The last 3 years especially. The community population has plummeted. When it took seconds to find games before it can take minutes. Players would be on at all hours of the day and night.Now? There's barely 100 people online. It takes forever to find games in HUT and Online Versus. You end up playing the same 10 players over and over again. The game as it stands consists of spamming aim assist poke check, behind the net cross crease, far side wrap around, far side high slot, and glitching the player's stick through the boards with a bounce speed boost. It's really disappointing and I instead of buying the game on impulse every year by preorder. I will be passing and waiting until it hits game pass. The forums speak for themselves as there are over half of the topics of the game being very poorly thought out. Instead of adding fancy looking graphics or pointless HUT game modes. Polish the actual game mechanics and balance it.

No Contest was close to getting banned also but wasn't considered a huge problem.Big Tipper because of the randomness resulting in throw things on net for tips and hope for the best.Truculence to stop from people get run over left and right allowing for easier offenseUnstoppable Force removed probably because without Truc it becomes godlike.But as you can see the league and esports prefer to keep the scoring as high as possible.

@EA_Aljo What you need is not me providing a video thats going to be disputable (oh your speed was probably too low, he was probably just hustling and caught you or oh, it doesnt seem faster than hustling (it is)), its someone volunteering to demonstrate it and explain how to do it. It would be mind boggling to me if nobody in your team was aware of this unless nobody at EA plays the game at any form of competitive levels.I cant demo it since I did not try to practice it when the guy showed how in practice mode because I dont want to get used to a crutch to play the game but honestly, I am wondering why I bother if this goes unfixed for more than a year.The reason there isnt more complaints is because a-its not obvious in the game unless you know it exists. The guy regularly gets messages asking what his build is as people just think he somehow has a "better build". b-those who use it keep it mostly secret for fear of it being patched.

@EA_Aljo This isn't exactly what he's referring to, but in the same vain of broken combination of skating mechanics. It's an entire tutorial on how to combine L2 with stride dekes in order to obtain completely inauthentic speed boosts. Can you confirm whether or not you've seen this before? Or the developers? @kdsmaclean Thanks for the video. I'll pass it on to the team. I'm going to remove it from this thread though as I do see the potential to abuse this. I ran it by the team and they are aware of it.

Completely agree with you on the gameplay. problem is we complain about it... they'll fix it but it'll open up something else, then they all go search youtube and reddit for it.
We complained about the cross creases... they fixed that.
We complained about coming out of the corner or side boards and going short side, fixed that.
Eventually it'll be scoreless games decided in shootouts, game starts you'd put down the controller until shootout starts.
I must have quit 4 or 5 games of Rivals this weekend just because I was so fed up of having to continuously defend the same plays over and over to the point I wanted to smash my head off my computer desk. 2 of the game I was leading, 2 were scoreless. I have no idea how many players are currently playing this game, but there's no way to enforce it and there's no way to fix the people doing it.

@kezz123 I mean it's 3v3 so of course it's not a competitive mode.. Only mode that is competitive for fairness is 6v6. You gotta learn to play with what the game gives you whether you agree with it or not. If you don't use all the tools because you want to be "pure" then you are just cheating yourself. It's like I have said soooo many times. If something stays in the game year after year it means either.... A.) They can't figure out how to fix it without breaking other things B.) They are simply OK with it being in the game.

We're not gonna get the communication about how they feel about things and that is obvious. Best they can do is pass the information along.

@Lowernu82Guy won the Madden Esports Championship with a Kicker/Punter for QB and didn't do 1 passing play in all the rounds. You play with what the game gives you the best chances to win. If it's a super high percentage chance they are gonna try and force it for a sure thing. If EA opened up more avenues for scoring then people would be losing their minds because the AI would be costing them even more games.

Ok but there's more then one avenue to score... LOL not make the same attempt 20x in a row, im not exaggerating with some of the games ive played of late.

@Lowernu82 Trust me I know how people play this game. People will tend to gravitate towards the most useful of them. Since the One-Timer isn't as successful anymore they consider it more of a turnover type. So they go to a method of circling waiting for a mistake then shooting. Yes it's quite frustrating and boring but it's what the game evolved down to. They other scoring methods like shots from the point due to great screens. There just isn't enough variety when dealing with the AI. They are pretty much the same in and same out each time. And I know people don't like RNG in the game because they always feel it is against them.

@EA_Aljo If you play an opponent (likely with construction boots because that seems to be the tryhard badge this year) and he seems really good and moving really well on the ice while skating in a straight line but looking like hes rapidly sort of making really small twitching like motions that looks a bit funnny, hes doing it.

@kezz123 See you hinder yourself by not using what is in the game. Use it til it gets fixed. No one is gonna feel sorry for someone wanting to play "legit"...Online is all about Play To Win. I mean what if the method still exists in NHL 24 even if people reported about it? Either they are OK with it or no fix in sight. I mean leagues I play in are banning certain X-factors that I loved using so it just means gotta change and adapt.
