Why doesn’t EA care about its NHL game?

I’ve been buying and playing this game since 1993. This is one of the few years I’m avoiding it altogether. It’s not even worth $10 from everything I’ve watched and read. The only thing worse EA coul...

@GiorgioMG Didn't they loss the exclusive rights for FIFA ? Or am I wrong ?

    @Froommey 

    FIFA got greedy and tried to double their already insane billion dollar licensing fees so EA said no. There is never any exclusivity for sports games - anyone can make em if their pockets are deep enough

    @TTZ_Dipsy It means they lost the FIFA license and they can no longer use real Team or Player names ?

    I believe they didn’t want to pay FIFA’s exorbitant fee so EA chose to walk away. I suspect EA will just negotiate with individual leagues/teams/etc.
