I'm not seeing other reports of this, but will watch out for them. Do you have the game installed on an internal or external hard drive? Also, I'd like you to power cycle your equipment with the following steps: unplug your modem/router and console. After 2 minutes plug in the modem/router. Let them come back online completely. Then plug in your console and start it up. Let me know if that helps or not. Thanks!
Not sure about poplarbay, but I've experienced the exact same thing, and I'm internal and already did the power cycle. It's in the code from the update as there were no issues with recording gameplay before that.

Just to be clear, you can make a clip, but then after a few minutes the crash occurs? Is it right after you get the message that the clip was uploaded?
- @EA_Aljo No, it will start live recording, then at some point the game will freeze, then speed up to 3-4x to catch up and then boot, gone from NHL 23 all together. Went and tried to "Record what happened" last 2 minutes recently and same thing, stop, speed up, boot out.
I've had this issue iin franchise mode mmediately after updating to last patch, but since then never happened again
