Alright, It looks like I misread when it was actually coming due to being so frustrated and desperate for fixes. Honestly, I am not going to apologize. EA is the one who should be apologizing to the community for releasing such a broken trash game. NHL games always have issues, but this year is on another level.
- Terrible and broken UI
- Bad presentation changes
- Added micro-transactions
- Broken club uniforms
- Broken matchmaking
- Interference penalties
- Control scheme nightmare
- Worse hitting
- Worse puck protect
- Hip checks and Lacrosse abuse. One button for one of the highest skill moves in hockey? Really?!
- Broken sticks and broken glass interrupting play.
- Bad pressure/fatigue system
- Terrible dumping/clearing mechanic
- Annoying pressure overlay that you can't turn off
- Annoying vision passing icons that you can't turn off
- Bad player indicators that are easy to lose track of your player (especially when coming out of a scrum)
- Still has graphics artifacts flashing in drop-in after 3 years!
etc...
The game is a total disaster and a disgrace. It is worse than BF 2042 at launch! YIKES!
If EA actually cared, they would never release the game in this state. Either delay it or cancel it and come back with a better effort for NHL 25. This current broken mess is unacceptable.

WWE 2K took a year off after the disaster of a game in 2020 and came back with a bang in 2022.
EA should do the same and actually listen to hockey fans.
-we need proper broadcast presentation like hockey in real life. it used to be there but now it is not. Who asked for this unwanted game killing decision?
-why are goaltenders wearing their helmet during the anthem?
-need to an option to turn off the tunnel of doom celebration. I’ve never seen Steven Stamkos slide on the ice like it’s a slip n’ slide carpet. 😂
-why is there a pressure gauge right front of the goaltender? We should be able to remove that option as I understand some people might like it.
-is there a reason why we can’t clear the puck during the penalty kill like in real life? My 10-year-old daughter, would do a better job at clearing the puck.
-the hitting is the most awkward hitting I’ve seen in any hockey game and I’ve been playing since 1993.
They adjusted the faceoff animations, slowed down the lights and logo animations. Great change, why did you leave this out of the patch notes? This is why people believe you guys change things that aren't listed on each patch and then get told they're making it up.
EDIT: Stars faceoff animations are untouched but the Oilers are significantly slower than before. Not sure if the other arenas were fixed or not.
I just don’t want to put the work in.
