A STEP BACK! 24 Is worse!

I dont know about the rest of you all BUT my verdict is in and I know a many others agree and that is simply this!: E.A NHL 24 Is quite a damn bit worse than 23!

YES,I said it and I stand by it!

WHY?

The skating does NOT feel nearly as fluid and smooth as it did in 23 and before!!!

The Checking/Hitting mechanics SUCK BAD!!!

It should NOT be that damn hard to make a simple straight up HIT!

Ive tried to hit other players with full force and sometimes they barely react or its an embarrassing technical problem cause of some delayed reaction to my check!?!?!

WHY E.A Vancouver!?!?!?

Why couldnt you just ;eave the hitting and the skating the way it was in 23 and before!?!?!

Change for the sake of change or to entice people to buy your product is stupid,frankly.

There are soooooooooooo many different things you could do to improve your game and add to it without screwing with the existing formula!

I dont recall anyone complaining about the hitting and checking but you all saw fit to screw with something that was NOT broke at all!

I also dont see hardly any discerning between players speeds either.

Its like they all have 88 or 90 or 85 speeds?

Its damn frustrating that you wont reach out to the community for many ideas!

I dont care if I am an EA employee or not or even a college graduate.

Creativity and innovation is NOT born out of a college degree in computer programming & graphics

It would be very innovative and revolutionary to use your community/fans/customers in a much bigger way if you would just take the initiative.

I would absolutely start buying again when you start listening and improving more.

Start by getting back to the skating and hitting/checking from 23 and before

Also go back to the old cellys,NOT this NEW pretentious arcadish celebration you have in 2024

What I find interesting is no response from EA. It is Jan 22 ,2024 no new tuner. They know they have made an unfinished product of a game and have nothing to say. Mike Engleberry or whatever his name is. In Oct 2023 .... we are going to be transparent, have a discord to talk to the hut community and a bunch of other promises. 3 months later nothing.... crickets.
EA hut community... they are basically saying screw you to us. Don't spend another dollar buying packs for this game. Male them fix the game and give us the product we paid for and deserve.

Only way to put a stop to this bs is to stop giving them money. Unless 25 is a complete rebuild we HAVE to stop. This is beyond unacceptable

@internetg611 Yeah kind of wondering what is happening with that part. The discord server was created but unfinished as it stands. They backtracked on that for some reason. I'm familiar with discord myself and have all the bells and whistles on it so it doesn't take a whole Dev team to make a decent one. If TerryOh didn't find it we probably wouldn't even know they worked on one...

We have a broken game with many bugs that didn't really get fixed and the game is so bland that I rather listen to the sound of scraping a chalkboard than play NHL 24...

Only communication we have is from EA_Aljo on here and Clappy a little more than previous years via Twitter.

Mike has broken his promise to be consistent with communication. His words were " If you're gonna talk the talk, be ready to walk the walk " So far the walk hasn't been made and for some reason he thinks the game is in good quality when truthfully it's killing the consumer population...

The truth hurts but I don't see any form of feedback via Twitter from him when we post about things relaying to the game... When Ben was there he interacted by explaining this and that, and even when someone tried to negotiate with him he found ways to counteract with the feedback...

What gets me is how the current Creative Director talked about the last one not meeting our needs and lack thereof communication, yet now we have another run where things are going backwards and nothing!

This makes me wonder is supporting this series even worth it? Much of the content we got were gimmicks! The community has asked for features to be brought in and instead we get some of it back but more in a Wish.com form of things!

Many of us are simply bored! Especially the offline gamers! BAP/Franchise mode used to be enjoyable but now it's so bland a moldy sandwich is more interesting!

Only a matter of time before EA loses more and more consumers and the microtransactions aren't going to be enough to the point they will be wondering where they went wrong! The suits need to step up big time!

Stop bringing gimmicks and actually listen to the community as a whole not just the Community managers friendlist! We matter too!

I agree the hitting is bad this year. Skating is the same as last year since they never changed engines and the time it takes them to fix things is slow BUT it's still miles better than NHL 23. If you think about last year they never fixed a thing lol.

@7df81e6108e66429 I disagree that it's worse but being the third or fourth worst game in the generation instead of the worst (23) isn't a compliment.

Also, once again, the discord would change **nothing** about the game. It would literally be the exact same as these forums, only on a modern platform. They do not care for our feedback like that

Discord would also be used for feedback. However, I imagine it would echo the same that we see here on AHQ and Reddit. No matter the channel, we absolutely care about it or you wouldn't see the patches be almost entirely based on community feedback.

EA needs to step up and deliver a title actually worth supporting, this game is a train wreck. I'd love for it not to be but these forums and a simple Google search of "NHL 24 review" tell you everything the customer base thinks of this product. EA needs to come back to reality and acknowledge that they arent meeting customer expectations at launch or through the year with their support and do the customers justice but I don't see that happening when the suits and ties see the bottom line from all those HUT pack sales.

Not really. A lot of people purposely give the game a bad review on as many sites as they can after taking a competitive loss.
Not saying there aren't legit gripes or bad reviews, but the negativity in reviews in any popular competitive game is common place.
