Digital Pre-Order vs Physical Copy

Question

I pre-ordered the digital version of NHL 24. I logged in this morning to play and saw that it's not available until noon today. A couple of my friends went to retailers this morning and bought the physical copy and are online playing while I'm sitting here typing this. Can you tell me what the advantage of the digital pre-order is vs going to get a physical copy? I just want to know what to do next year to avoid this?&nbsp;

Noted - do not buy the pre-order as it is actually a disadvantage rather than any type of advantage at all. Thanks.

We don't have any details on this as it's way too soon to know how it's going to be handled for future games.

That's not remotely what I said. There were various rewards for pre-ordering. I don't have any details on why those with physical discs can play a little earlier than those with the digital version. I'll pass on the feedback.

That you can play early with the physical copy. Unless they bought the X-Factor edition. That would grant early access.
