@dannythetempThe fact that they designed dumps to look this way, on purpose, and then left it in the game… is laugh out loud funny. Imagine working all year on this game and then showcasing it to a real life hockey player— and then that player has to be like “Wow… that’s… really cool. Good job buddy.” Like it’s some stupid macaroni picture.
I am completely dumbfounded, not just by this decision, but by the attitude towards this sentiment. Of course these people work very hard on this game; of course they love the sport; and of course they want us to be happy. But how am I supposed to react when something so integral to the game gets reduced to a weak little fart? How am I supposed to take any of it seriously when they worked so hard all year— while I impatiently waited, excited— just to see something so bananas crazy?
Imagine instead if it had been a slapshot? And the puck just gave a limp squirt like these dumps? I don’t understand. How does this get designed and then survive rounds of testing and review?? Is it an oversight, or intentional?
I’m not trying to hate. I love the games. I love the sport. And I know many people work very hard to make it happen. That’s precisely why I’m so frustrated. Because this is certainly not the only obvious hockey issue in the game.
