HUT Deep Dive Trailer

Found where lots of the presentation went to.   Overall it was a normal on par HUT showing.  Still feel like it will be a total grindfest that drives people away over time. 

Even the big name HUT people are disappointed the online modes didn't get any changes to encourage people to play more.

I like most of the QoL updates, I just wish they did something about the card opening animations. I get we can skip em and stuff, but you still need to do that weird card select thing right after.. Would love if we could set some parameters to automatically sell/add to team/put in collection etc.

Another disaster year for NHL HUT. After playing MLB the Show Diamond Dynasty. Why would anyone settle for less ? This mode is clearly design to encourage player to spend puck. To make matter worst, now you have locked certain objective or moment behind a player card. What do you think the community is going to do ? They are going to scalp all of the cars and sell it for profit.  If you are going to do a player specific objective, you need to give us that card.

In Diamond Dynasty, I am not force to play any moment during a specific amount of time, I can always go back and do all of the program at my leisure. They also reward you with so many cards that can make any player competitive that playing online is a game of skill and card preferences. Now how much I swiped my credit card to build a team.  Where MLB encourage collections and give rewards to do so, EA NHL HUT rewards trashing your card so you can get to the next tier.  So you have to give up 10 or 30 cards so you can get a level 87 instead of a level 85 while in MLB The show, now only do I keep the cards I have but I get given a 90 because I got them all. 

I guess this is all we could expect from EA.  tweak a game mode towards predatory scheme to force player to swipe their credit card so they can compete online. This is what HUT mode has become. If you don't play every week, you will be so far behind that it becomes a mode of elitist streamer winning against Joe casual. 

Can someone please confirm that we’ll be able to play 5v5 classic in HUT Rivals in NHL 24?
I'm not a fan of 3v3 or any other arcadeish style of gameplay.

At least, there should always be an option to play 5v5 classic in HUT Rivals.

I am assuming Squad Battles will still be limited to single player. The mode would be significantly more fun with the addition of online co-op to it.

I don't have any details on Rivals modes. It's possible it could change up like it did last year, but the majority of the time was 5v5.

Can't wait to replay Mario Lemieux's 2000 comeback using the robo penguin jerseys!

Very disappointing! Nothing new. Only small tweaks.
