HUT Update

We wanted to reach out and provide clarity around the new reward structure you’ve been seeing across HUT as well as our future plans surrounding it.

Firstly, our intention was to never give less value for playing Rivals or Squad Battles when we first introduced this new collectibles system, but it’s fair to say that we may have misevaluted their value which led to justifiable frustration.

One of our goals with this new system is to allow more flexibility and the ability to choose rewards that matter most to you based on your current team situation. We’re also hoping to build longer-term goals with the collectibles (like you see with the 86 OVR Kucherov) and have you aquire larger guaranteed rewards than you could earn under the old system.

These sets will progress alongside overall increases throughout the year to ensure you’re always getting proper value for your time in the various game modes. We plan on continuing to tweak and add new sets as time goes on, continuing to find new offerings to best utilize all collectibles and your feedback will be vital in helping us find what works best.

We’ve been monitoring the feedback surrounding this and will be adjusting the collectibles rewarded during this week of Rivals/Squad Battles and moving forward.

Rivals Rewards:

We will be adjusting the rewards for the current running Rivals immediately so that you’ll receive updated rewards when Rivals end next week.

We will be reverting Option 2 (the untradeable pack option) of the rewards back to the original rewards we had last year.

For Option 1 rewards, we will bring back all the top value packs at each tier/div as they were in previous years, the lesser value pack will be replaced with enough collectibles to purchase the same pack as well as have additional collectibles left over to work towards more rewards.

We will also be adjusting the value of some sets to give collectibles even more value than they had previously.

These changes will allow you to choose between earning rewards towards the collectible path or the standard untradeable option from previous years.

Squad Battle Rewards:

We will also be adjusting the rewards for the currently running Squad Battles immediately so that you will get updated rewards when Squad Battles end next week.

Similarly to Rivals, the lesser value pack in each reward tier will be replaced with enough collectibles to purchase the same lesser value pack that was swapped with some collectibles left over.

Some Squad Battle sets will be adjusted to make the value of collectibles even higher.

HUT Rush:

We’ve seen the issues coming from certain objectives/prompts not properly triggering and moving forward we will be avoiding these types of objectives until those issues are resolved.

Event/Power-Up Collectibles:

We’re adding a HUT Headliner Collectible to a Power-Up Collectible set.

We’re adding more HUT Headliner Collectible sets that allow higher OVR players to be exchanged for a HUT Headliner Collectible(s).

We’re adding more Power-Up Collectible sets that allow higher OVR players to be exchanged for a Power-Up Collectible(s).

---

We appreciate the continued feedback coming from the community, please feel free let us know your thoughts on these changes or any other recommendations on anything HUT.

  • Outside of the objectives in hit rush which are all super finicky on if they even work after they are all completed it takes forever to get points without like just hip checking repeatedly or things like that instead of actually playing the game. Maybe 25% of my goals actually give me points during the game and yes they count towards objectives but after they are done getting points is a huge pain. Maybe instead of avoiding adding objectives that have a problem registering the points just fix the registering of the points all together. This has happened in a past nhl too and it was like never fixed till a new game and I’m gonna be super upset if that’s your guy's approach to the problem with this game. The only semi consistent way to gain points right now is to put it on superstars difficulty and try to get as many hip checks as possible which is not fun at all and is obviously not how it’s intended to be. I have a strong feeling off of this post that it likely won’t be a priority anytime soon even though it’s an entire game mode that’s not working correctly. We didn’t pay this much for an unfinished game and avoiding addressing the problems for a mediocre fix isn’t much better.

  • HUT Rush:

We’ve seen the issues coming from certain objectives/prompts not properly triggering and moving forward we will be avoiding these types of objectives until those issues are resolved.

It's the points system that need to be fix, getting no points or 1000 points for a between the leg pass goal. I was checking Thrash94 gaming video from last year rush and a backhanded goal was 1200 points, 2 passes and snap shot goal was 3200 points and a between the legs with a snapshot was 4900 points. We're getting like 1/3 of the points in game of rush, Yesterday I score 8 and got 5500 points without the win and the 3.25 multiplier, so you ended up with 40k instead of 100k a game. I know EA don't make money with rush but it's nice for the FTP players. It's been 2 weeks already, it's a full price game !

  • @clappy_NHL Seriously just not good enough.

Why would rewards change to give collectibles for Untradable rewards. People play specific modes for specific rewards.

Also, for the another year in a row, SB rewards are in picture form. There's no clear indication of what these packs are.

There's also no pack glossary so we can find out how many gold players are guaranteed in these packs.

This is supposed to be a AAA game but it feels like a mobile app designed by beginners.
