If it ain't broke ... Don't fix it!
Below is my take on the Chel lobby settings:
Chel Online Lobby
Can someone at EA please explain why you RUINED the lobby, and the way you invite players. Whatever you did in 24 … it's an absolute horror show. Now Chel club owners need to press the controller pad, to bring up a totally different screen, and then it's confusing as hell to get players in the room. You also can't select more than one player like you did in 23. I seriously don't understand what you did to this game, but this alone was a major setback.
Pressure Meter
So here is my thoughts on the gameplay. First of all the meter gauge thing is ridiculous, it becomes almost impossible once your gassed to get the puck, especially if your playing good players. And because of this one disaster of an idea, I have to give it a major "ZONK"
Here is my take on the gameplay:
Player Movement
There is no longer any L2-ing, no more (X) to protect the puck. AND can someone tell me WHAT THE HELL is wrong with the hitting. If your playing using "Skill-stick" controls, you now need to slam the right joystick down and then up in order to hit an opposing player. Whoever made this call in development needs to get fired!
The other thing which is horrible is you can no longer pull your stick back away from an opposing player, if you do it goes into a shot. What the hell is going on with the player mechanics, can someone at EA please fix this. I can't even begin to tell you how bad this game really is. I know there are many of you that will say .. " Well the gameplay moves smoothly" who cares the player control, and dekes are no longer there, it's very plain and dry.
Cut Scenes
The cut scenes are a waste of space in my opinion, it seems they wanted to fill a void, and added these after goal scenes which are very dumb.
Battle pass
It seems EA was trying to get players to spend money on the bogus player equipment, They are more focused on the stores than the actual gameplay which is by far the WORST NHL Hockey. I honestly don't know why, EA couldn't have take a great game like NHL 23 and enhanced it, instead they completely destroyed it.
As for a positive side regarding this game … I wish I could find one, to me it's that bad, and nothing seems that much better, if anything it's was worse.
EA ... You really messed things up with this one, and I seriously hope you roll out an update to fix this. Because the word on the street, is everyone is not excited to play this game, and would rather play NHL 23, and whatever we spent chalk it up as a loss.
