Is One-Timer effectiveness based upon Slap Shot or Wrist Shot attributes?

I’m trying to get better at one-timers and want my player build to increase the effectiveness, but it’s unclear whether it’s effected by wrist shot, slap shot, puck control, offensive awareness, or maybe hand-eye attributes?

Now that the one-tee Superstar Ability is gone, it seems that the only boost would come exclusively from the gold one-tee zone ability. I have noticed the Make it Snappy Superstar ability helps one-timers somewhat.

Would really appreciate some clarity on the attributes that affect one timers.

Most of the time, yes. Except in the cases where there's more of a catch and release when you're in tighter to the net where there isn't a windup animation. Basically, if there is no windup animation, it's considered a wristshot. Even a 1/4 of an animation would make it a slapshot and use the slapshot attribute.

  • A one-timer can be either a wrist or slapshot depending on the situation.
