Issue with online, can’t connect on one account

Me & my father gameshare on his Xbox, he is in his 60’s and ultimate team is all he has. Is game sharing now not allowed? As he cannot launch into online games, yet on my account I can. Every other game works, and all online services work. He has no strikes on his account or anything. Please help
