for offline players, the mention of significant reduction of cpu/cpu teammate penalties could be bad and could turn the game back like it was in previous years where a game had like 1 powerplay each.
no mention of pressure system changes for the next patch in terms of mechanism or option to turn off pressure meter. Just discussion on what possibly be tuned for later down the line. At least that wss my interpretation.
no mention of improving dump in strength. With the R2 used to dump its much stronger than R1, but it would be nice to get a little extra height and less loading up time.
95 percent of the fixes are for online play from the sounds of it. Michigan move abuse, glitch goal reduction, etc.
For me offline play as of today is already good and much bette than at release, so I personally see little to no benefit for the upcoming patch for offline players. I am mostly afraid of the penalties ....it will hurt offline gameplay if they reduce it too much like how they have done in previous years' patches.

One or two power plays each game when you play 5-minute periods is realistic. That's nowhere near bad, at all.
I play 20-minute periods. I'm averaging about 7 interference penalties each game. That's completely unrealistic.
I don't mind getting 2-3 power plays in a game. That's fine. Just don't make it where it's a parade to the penalty box like it is now.

You play 20 minutes periods 😳 You are a rare breed around these parts… Kudos !
I've made countless tweaks to the players and settings to get 15 to 20 minutes periods gameplay on 23.Do you have realistic stats ? Tell me more. I didn’t get 24 after the trial… I’m curious 🤔
Thanks !

Is he talking something about offline modes, franchise mode ? customization things like to add new equipment for goalies and players ? to edit EA rosters appearance and data ? update for headshot pics ? new player likenesses ? and so on.

20 minutes?!?! This game is not designed to play on 20 minute periods, that’s your problem lol. Not the penalties

Then what was the point of letting 23 rot last year? The excuse to keep AI pens in ONLINE makes no sense, does he know that the humans playing can take pens still? No changes to the pressure system is pretty dumb. I can rag the puck if I wanted to get full pressure. I can force a defensive turnover while under the effects of full pressure and have it carryover into my opponents zone. The 5 seconds of lasting full pressure needs to be at most 2-3 seconds when out of the ozone.

This is my concern as well. This is the first time in 10 years I actually get realistic powerplay numbers. Anywhere from 2-6 between both teams a game. I get that HUT and CHEL players don’t want games taken out of their hands, but for offline franchise the CPU taking penalties is literally the only way to get actual power plays.
In either ‘20 or ‘21 they nerf’d CPU penalties so hard that with the slider at default you got no penalties called against the CPU, and with the slider cranked all the way up you might see like 1 power play every 3 to 5 games. The CPU wouldn’t even attempt a poke check or stick lift unless they had an almost 100% certainty of being successful which is how we are getting most CPU penalties called right now.
I just wish they had the ability to tune game play differently between modes. Because if penalties go back to being non existent on the CPU I am done with this game. It just completely ruins everything in franchise mode
