My friends ACTUAL name is Benjamin Dover. It's kind of a meme cause peiple call him "Bend over" but his name in the game was fully Benjamin Dover and he STILL got PERMA banned. Wild how your terms of service team just lazily perma bans people instead of just restricting access to creating a name. Shrinking out already small community even more. Really lazy job guys. I know this won't get solved but I just wanted to thank them for shrinking our already small community. I get banning people for terrible names but #1 this was his real name and #2 restrict those peoples access to name creator don't ban them and make search times longer for everyone who didn't break the rules.

I'm not sure who oversees this stuff, but what you've said here is definitely not true. I have an alt account that I made a funny sexual innuendo name on. I received a "warning" email the first night I played the game. It said I basically got a free pass to change my name to something else without penalty. I woke up the next morning and before I even had a chance to change my name, I received another email saying I had been issued a PERMANENT EA BAN ACROSS ALL EA GAMES for my name being exactly what it was when I originally received the warning. Maybe you "are not supposed to" be handing out near-instant perma-bans to people for having a name like Don Keedic or Peter Gazinya, but it DEFINITELY is happening. Oh yeah, and even if you receive a temporary (i.e. 3 day) suspension in NHL 24, your game will be rendered useless as you will continuously "crash" when trying to enter WOC after your suspension has been rightfully served. Yet another serious problem with NHL 24 that I have yet to see any of you with "EA" in your name address.

Thats $500 yearly on NHL alone your TOS team has lost the company even more considering all the other EA games we won't be playing since our friend is banned. I am positive your TOS team has lost the company millions of dollars because they chose to permanently ban people instead of fixing the SAME PROBLEM with a simple creative restriction. Again I am not making excuses for alot of the people who get banned(especially some really terrible ones), what frustrates me is that I am noticing it's hurting the community when someone gets permanently banned from all EA products because their name was "Big Johnson" or something just dumb and immature like that. I get it, you don't want people using offensive names, neither do I, but this whole issue could EASILY BE SOLVED by RESTRICTING THOSE PEOPLES ACCESS TO THE NAMING MECHANICS and our community would not be getting actively hurt by it.

Yep. My friends account got banned for his real name too and its not even anything remotely wrong or jokey or inappropriate. Jesse Theriault. Nothing wrong with that name, yet he got an immediate permanent ban and when he called to get his account back nobody had the power to unban his account.

@HighTmatthew Yep this is noticable hurting the community in the long run. Taking away those peoples abilities to name their characters after an offense makes much more sense than permanently banning from all EA products.Kinda crazy how they would rather lose a significant amount of money AND make the players who still play the game suffer through longer matchmaking times just because(in 90% of cases) they made a dumb, immature innuendo in their name.

@Thefatlonerpig Yeah they absolutely will not unban accounts. They would not unban my friends account either because it broke the "positive play charter" the Terms of Service team constantly abuse their power and theres no way to directly speak to them. You ALWAYS have to speak to them through an EA advisor and not directly to a team member.

Its truly one of the most broken terrible systems I have ever seen in my life. They steal 1000s of dollars of games and DLC from players and theres not even a way to speak to them directly.

Same thing happened to me. I got banned for using my name, Gabriel Itches (Gabe Itches for short). I understand the irony in my name... But there's nothing I can do when it's my birth name.
I kept using it and EA perma-banned my account.

I've been a loyal customer for 8+ years and this is how they treat someone who was bullied all their childhood for their name. Unreal.

That's not something a permanent ban would be issued for. Not for a first offense. You would need to have a history of being actioned for offensive names before your account is actioned with a permanent ban.

I used the same name multiple times and kept getting banned. After like 5 times of using MY OWN NAME, that's when I got the permanent ban.
