Hi there, @devsfan94
I'm not seeing other reports of this. Can you get me a video showing it happening? Thank you.

I have had an issue with this myself, with the online play. Hard to get a video when it just randomly happens during a game here and there. I use playstation 5 and I will hold down R2 plus one of the buttons for that direct pass and it will go in the complete opposite direction of that player. Since the update it has happened to be at least 2-3 times a game.

You should be able to capture video easily on either console. If you tell me which one you're on, I'll get those instructions for you. If you're offline, it's easy enough to pause and get a replay, but for online modes, when there's a stoppage, the game DVR on each console may have enough saved to capture a quick clip. For example, on Xbox you just hit the Guide button and then either X or Y, can't recall at the moment, and it'll grab the last 30 seconds of play. I believe at least. Apologies of I'm a bit off there, but if this happens often, it should be pretty easy to capture a clip.
I've also been having this issue happening more and more frequently lately. X on left side, B on right side, I press X since he's free & it passes to B. It happened a bit before as the skaters were crossing each other but now it's just straight up not working; not all times, but happens a couple of times per games. I play WoC 6's exclusively.

With icon passing, one of three things happens for me:
1. Goes to intended player (majority of time)
2. Goes to unintended player
3. Goes in general direction of intended player, but not directly to him.
With #3, it seems like it is going where the player WAS several seconds ago and not where he currently is. This type of error happens most often on entires, where everyone is skating straight and then branching out toward the sides.

If you have video of this, please post it. I realize we can't exactly see which button you're pressing, but it would be good to still see this. Personally, I never use icon passing so it's not something I've experienced.
- 75fd980e1b1839002 years agoSeasoned Veteran@EA_Aljo I understand it's likely to think a wrong button was hit, but this is muscle memory and we aren't shooting instead of passing etc or mixing other buttons up. It straight up goes to a different player altogether, on the opposite side of the face buttons.
There isn't any option to show which buttons are being pressed anymore, so we can't rebutt this in any way. It's something you'd have to take our word for, unfortunately.
Another thing about icon passing- why does a penalty have to bring about a switch of the icons? This causes frequent unintended player passes immediately after a penalty expires. They should simply stay the same. - EA_Aljo2 years ago

I believe it's B/Circle that changes to a different player when they have the puck. Is it possibly that? You're hitting the player you think is B/Circle, but it's actually a different button? Unfortunately, without video or experiencing it ourselves, it's not going to be investigated.

@EA_AljoNo. After a penalty expires and the player rejoins the ice, their icon is different. My C and RW will be swapped, for example. I'm at work so I can't check, but this happens every penalty. If the rw took a pen, his icon will be different if he rejoins during play.
It reverts back to normal after the first whistle

Gotcha. If you can get video of that, I'll send it over to the team so they can determine if it's a bug or not.
