The clock and the counter itself have become invisible to me already because I’m looking at the play, the puck and trying to see who is open. I could care less about momentum because funny enough I’m trying to score haha
They really needa fix true broadcast camera. It’s zoomed way too far out. The whole thing with originally taking it away was because they said we couldn’t see lmao. Give us nhl 22 true broadcast please ☹️
really wish we were able to use LT like we used to and I don’t even try to exploit it bc I play franchise.
also wish protect the puck was still the A button
- @EA_Aljo It is intrusive on the screen and contrasts heavily with the ice. It is not immersive at all and is a distraction. We didn't ask for this and it should not be forced on us. We need the option to turn it off. Honestly, this shouldn't even be up for debate. This should be fairly obvious to the developers.

Yes this is really unbelievable i can not understand put things on the ice like this and force us look at.It is a new system i get that they have worked hard for and they want to show it off but the system weakest point become just that we are FORCED to look at this big meters ALL THE TIME and the whole system fails to much because of it. - bobemil_sw132 years agoRising Hotshot
Same here. I have bought every NHL game since 09 and this direction they are taking with cluttered UI on ice is a dealbreaker for me. I can take women refs every game, changed gameplay mechanics, new corny celebrations, etc but don't do this bs. Not buying it this year until fixed.
I can appreciate them adding this functionality but there’s no reason to display it at all. If you’re pinned in your zone you’re trying to get the puck. If you’re attacking, you’re already trying to keep possession and get shots on next. To put it in a giant graphic in the middle of the of the ice is a terrible implementation and not having the option to toggle it off is irritating, Please give us the option.
- bobemil_sw132 years agoRising Hotshot@BassMan_PC Well said. It's EA showing their true colors. This will not be changed this year. I can almost promise you. That's why I didn't bpught the game this year.

I've been reading from many different gaming forums about this whole pressure system what EA decided to put in NHL 24 and... Almost every message that has something about this pressure system is NEGATIVE so it is pretty clear that this system is not liked (at least in Finland) so... I have made my decision to NOT BUY this years game or in the future as long this system is in. It is not all about that meter. It is also about this whole system and how that affects your gaming experience.
I have not seen boards going red or any meter in middle of my TV screen when i have watched real NHL game so... If it's in the game it's in the game but that kind of thing is not in the real NHL game so why it has to be in the game? Just wondering...
See you next year. Maybe.
- I had to see some old clips just to compare, have to say I dont like where NHL are heading, it's all about money and commercial.
First of the jerseys and second the ice, all this grease is taking the beauty out of the sport.
It's more importen to see who's sponsor Detroit Red Wings o-zone then where the puck is.
#keeptheiceclean I'm someone else who buys the game every year, and has for almost 30 years. The immersion breaking visual stuff like the pressure meter on the ice has to be toggleable for me to buy the game. That and giving an option to turn off the ridiculous spotlight goal celebrations. IMO it's fine if the dev team thinks this stuff is desirable to its audience, but to me some of the presentation stuff they've added doesn't square with some very nice sim elements they've refined in the areas of gameplay this year.
