I can't believe this was removed. It's so game breaking.
This was heavily exploited and easily one of the areas of the game we had the most feedback about. It's gone and there are no plans to return it. I'm sure it could have stuck around if it was used as intended, but that simply wasn't the case when combined with LT/L2.
Agreed! Then fix the exploit, by doing it correctly! Dump agility or balance when players are exploiting that mechanic. Don't just remove a basic hockey play of protecting the puck as well as being able to turn your back to a player in two directions. These two mechanics happen in CORE hockey all of the time, now you can't do them anymore.
- KlariskraysNHL2 years agoHero@143mg Literally have no problem controlling and moving my player about. When you nerf things like agility and balance it affects a bunch of other things. It's not getting reverted and people have to sink or swim with it.

I've also not experienced an issue controlling my player. Vision Control is still there for certain areas of the ice. You absolutely CANNOT abuse it like you could in '23, so if you find that the changes are limiting your movement.. it's possible you were leaning on the exploit yourself.
- 2 years ago@KidShowtime1867 Dude, "being able to turn your body" is not an exploit. The problem is they just let people spam skate backwards when they had their body turned. That's the actual exploit. In no circumstance should I not be able to turn my body in a certain direction. It only becomes a problem if you play the whole game with your back turned to someone, which they should absolutely address and nerf 10000%.
The problem is they threw the baby out with the bath water. "Turning your body" is not an exploit.
- 2 years ago@KlariskraysNHL You aren't even engaging the point man. In real life, if someone is trying to take a run at me, I can just turn around and make a play. In this game, you either skate in a giant circle because you can't just turn around, or you have to make a blind backhand pass.
THAT is affecting the game. There are plenty of ways to address spammers without affecting the basic way hockey players turn their bodies. THAT is the core mechanic we're talking about.
We agree about players that exploit LT+A, the problem is they didn't actually fix LT+A, they just turned it off.
@EA_Aljo already said "it wasn't used as intended," and that's why they turned it off. That means there is an intended usage that they're just turning off with it.
Just because you didn't use it and are happy that spammers are gone doesn't mean there wasn't a massive contingency of players who used it 100% honestly for it's intended use and are being left in the dust. We literally just used it to turn our bodies in the direction we wanted to in a realistic fashion.
We aren't the spammers bro. We just want them to not screw us while they address spammer behavior.
