@KidShowtime1867pls man, you dont talk anymore, synergy gave him maximum 93 acc or speed, also this card hasnt this synergy even on speed and acceleration so his speed and acceleration was 91. You please play your offline modes and dont bother us, with your non sense advices.

Why are you only mad about Jones catching McDavid but not upset about you catching him with Doughty? 

This expectation that McDavid should be faster than everyone else 'just cuz' is only going to upset you in the long run. There are ways to counter act the speed of McDavid, both in real life and in the video game. Funny enough, forcing McDavid to turn will negate some of his speed in both cases. 

With that being said, I'm slightly on your side on this issue. 

This poke by Jones should've resulted in McDavid blowing by him:

However, you did begin turning with McDavid right when Jones began to accelerate when you should've kept going the angle you were to get straight-line speed. 

At the end of the day, you're playing HUT; one of the most unrealistic modes in the game. Almost zero attribute parity when competing at high levels, the randomness of Synergies altering core gameplay elements in unrealistic ways and the general "arcadeness" of the mode in terms of how players actually play this mode (win at all costs versus having fun playing hockey) all combine to an overall awful experience, unless you've mastered the ability to abuse mechanics with high-attribute players and have activated all the right synergies that compliment your particular style of play. 

Stop expecting 100% realism from this mode and lambasting anyone who proves you wrong. You need to expect weird outcomes to happen in HUT.

@KidShowtime1867As you said HUT is broken, but HUT keeping this game alive. Even with that little turns 99 is 99 and also its Mcdavid. This is just ridicoulous as Aljo finding excuses, but he will never confirm, something is wrong, but its typical EA behavior, i would be more happy, that he admits, this game is totally broken, then this excuses. And my Doughty is 99 OVR card with all 99 abilities except face offs, so its normal that i can catch McDavid with 99 speed if my Doughty has same stats on this attributes, so nothing unexpected that i catched him.

On its own? No. Sure, it plays a part in the popularity of the game. Gambling tends to attract a lot of people. 

But if HUT went away tomorrow, there'd still be thousands of us playing WoC, BAP, Offline franchise, etc. There's even a large Online Shootout community. Lots of ways to play and enjoy hockey.

Irrelevant. Do you really feel you should have an acceleration and speed advantage in every scenario, in spite of inefficient movements by way of your input?

HUT does a lot of heavy lifting for less-than-skilled opponents by allowing them to just purchase players with higher attributes and thus allow more room for user error. However, if a player chooses to take a long path rather than execute straight-line speed, in no way whatsoever should the game just let you burst by another player based on the principle that "cuz it's McDavid'. 

It's your job as the player to get the most of your 99 McDavid and sometimes you're just going to be a little less efficient than you want to be based on the scenario. In your particular case, Jones' poke check caused you to angle out and then you tried to come back in. I don't care who you are - you're going to lose some speed during that transition. It just so happened that Jones accelerated at the exact moment you were losing speed with McDavid. Again - a synergy is likely at play here but there's still inneficient movement on your part and you got caught for it.

I think EA has handled this thread pretty well. You want them to confirm something that doesn't exist (a supposed nerf to McDavid's speed). When they don't, you just accuse them of making excuses. 

@KidShowtime1867Man i am really done with you :D Its totaly stupid what are you saying. EA handling something well ? What ? Their games are broken, no matter which game they produce, asking for them insane money..even now after more then 6 months of release they are not able repair basic things, all PRO players, casual players saying the same, twitter comments are from 90% just negative and you are only one who still defend them :D Keep climbing to their bottoms. Broken would mean the game is unplayable. If it were, nobody would even be playing. Which, absolutely is about as far from the truth as possible. Does it have its issues? Yes, of course. We all know there are bugs as well as plenty of room for improvement.

I think all has been said about this as can be. It's just going in circles at this point. You're certainly entitled to your opinion and I respect that. The information I relay to the community comes from working along side this team for many years now. I can't make you believe me, I can just give you the facts. People have had the theory that slower players are beating faster players as long as HUT has existed. There has been no evidence to support that so far.
