As far as your issue goes, your opponents could be setting strategies to counter how your club is playing. For example, I set our AI to be very aggressive so they take more action against the carrier. However, something else you have to consider is positional play. If the humans on your club are frequently out of position, the AI will need to adjust to cover the open space. This means they won't be in good position to make the best plays. Otherwise, the AI are identical on both sides of the ice. 

You also mention not being able to block the puck when you're in front of it. Can you get some video of this? It would be good to see what's happening here. Thanks!
