To anyone that is a traditional player save your money. This game is a nightmare.
Took away controls for the traditional player like me. Unreal.
Almost impossible to pass and shoot with the same hand.
How hard is it to leave in the things that have always been there for us traditional players???
Why can they never leave in the things we are use to???

Paid $70 and can not even play this game....

It's very disappointing to hear about your frustration. I for sure understand how a tutorial would greatly help new players such as yourself. I really hope we can get that added in a future game. In the meantime though, as mentioned, there are numerous tutorials online. You'd also be very welcome to ask any questions here.
It sounds like you were having trouble aiming passes. If you happen to try the game again, passing is done with either the right trigger or the A/X button. It depends which control layout you're using. Aiming is done with the left stick. So, aim in the direction you want the pass to go and hit the trigger or button to make the pass.
There's also a list of the controls in game under Settings > Controller Settings.
