"Am I also seeing this right that player interactions with the goalies can now cause goalie stumbles?"
It looks like the goalie was just turning over to get up from his butt, not a stumble
I thought so too until I looked closer and it appears he attempts to stand up from butterfly, but the leg gets caught up with the players and then the stumble ensues:
I wonder what the difference between normal passing and Icon passing will be?
How is the strength decided with Icon.. And whats the succes rate, I guess the puck wont with magic land on the tape just because you call for passes with help of Icon..
Wonder when It's better to use the diffrent style of passing..
Another thing they mention in the trailer was breakaway passes, but maybe that work the same as Icon..
Damn, there will be a lot of buttons going on..

Yeah Im having a hard time figuring out how this Icon passing is something that can be used with skill and not just be a button to push..
But 21 Aug is test day for a lot of you guys, looking forward to hear what comes out of that.
I smell success, at least at the beginning, untill the streamers find a way to kill the vibe.. 😬🤫 - KlariskraysNHL2 years agoHero
@rsandersr47It will make the X-Factor passing traits actually mean something is what it will probably do. I have a teammate who runs 75 in passing and they could still do amazing passes in NHL 23. So if people are rocking like 90 passing with a good passing X-Factor I'd expect them to be deadly.
Icon passing is a gamechanger because it's fast and crisp and will make best use of the 1 touch passing. So hopefully it is done right where actual passing attributes matter. That is the biggest thing is making the attributes actually matter.@Sega82mega Icon Passing is 100% easier but it's using your brain of when to pass and whom to pass to is what matters. The controls are more simplified imo which puts everyone on a more even ground, but you need that big brain to truly execute still and that will go a long way.

All good, but all of this, is gonna clog up the ice with even more stuff no ? Icons for passes, Icons for pressure, Icons for this, icons for that… You get the idea… Pretty soon, seeing the ice will be a thing of the past 👋

I guess you still have to hold R2 down then choose X,Y,A,B so the strength will be used just the same as right now? I suppose.
I'm more personally concerned by the fact that you'll have to let go your right stick to use icon passing. Using your skill stick to strech your stick ahead or behind legs or go around bodies before a pass can be such a must in most situation....I can't see myself in base position everytime I wanna try the new passes system D:
I'm curious to try out though.
