Update on Hybrid Controls and Goalie Tethering

Hello, everyone. We received a high amount of feedback on the removal of Hybrid controls as well as thoughts on the new goalie tethering system. The below announcement was made on our Twitter channel...

Thank you to everyone who participated in the #NHL24 Community Playtest and sent along feedback.

We’re sorting through it all now but there are some certain changes we’d like to make official immediately:

#1 We’re adding Hybrid Controls as an additional option, alongside of Skill Stick and the new Total Control scheme.

#2 We’re adding the option to use the new Goalie Tether control scheme or the standard Goalie Control system (NHL 23).

These changes will be reflected in a post-launch NHL 24 update and are only some of the improvements we’re working towards based on your feedback. We’re excited to share our full plans in the coming weeks.

@PernellKarl027 Hi ! I bought the game and found out that the Hybrid controls are still not available. Could you please tell me when will we have this update ?

    @jeanguyboudro Here you go, here is an update from EA from a post on here, hope this helps .

    Although not available in this patch, we’re aiming to deliver the previously announced Hybrid Controls and Goalie Control updates in late October. We appreciate your patience surrounding these features and are working to get them into the game as soon as possible.

        @jeanguyboudro I understand, what I think would be a fun experience and doesn't hurt is to try the total controls since they have the dekes on the buttons in practice mode for a bit then try in an exhibition game on a lower skill level and just have fun until the hybrid controls come out, if anything you may have a fun experience with total controls until then, have fun . I think you'll really enjoy NHL 24
