Do Better. This was a known issue for weeks and release date comes and now I have zero interest in playing this game until they come back.
Not a good look.
Congrats, EA. You've been taking away things that make the game fun and adding things I don't care about for years, but now you've finally made it unplayable. I've somehow rationalized paying full price year after year, but now that I literally cannot play the game, I don't have to worry about that anymore.

Outside of those with disabilities, I really don't understand why people have used NHL 94 controls. You're limiting yourself and instantly at a disadvantage versus someone adept at skill stick/total control.
You do realize that not everyone plays online, right? Some of us just want to play a game or two after a hard day's work, score a dozen or so goals against the Maple Leafs, and have a little fun. I really don't care to learn how to make my player do lacrosse goals or pass between the legs using a combination of triggers, bumpers, and sticks better suited for a Tekken tournament.
Setting the game up for my friend/captain of our Chel club and even though the Accessibility voiceover tells me about NHL 94 controls, it is not showing up on the screen during Initial set up. Only 'Total Control' and 'Skill Stick' show up, neither of which his hands can physically use.
Game is fully updated and he is on Xbox Series S.

If those controls are not coming back, then that is simply awful; an entire community can no longer play hockey.
This is SO disappointing!! I am not able to play without 94 control so now I wasted a lot of money for nothing. Very big mistake from you and a classic mistake do to, changing something without really thinking!
I hear you I’ve been playing for many years and today I bought nhl 24 and I can’t play the game. Lucky I was able to get a refund. Extremely disappointed
What is the reasoning behind eliminating the NHL 94 controls ? Time Budget staffing please explain. This company is a money making machine !!
So please explain why you can’t have 94 controls again cause I’m confused by this answer. Sounds like your discriminating against people that use NHL 94 controls?
