You don't like the game?

This really isn't accurate. While the Design Council provides feedback, it's not our only source of community input. Changes are made based on feedback from the community in general. The Design Council is not responsible for all the changes. The feedback they provide very largely echoes what the community is saying as well.

@EA_Aljo  If that’s true, then where did you guys get the feedback that people wanted all television style presentation elements removed from the game? It’s a serious question and not trying to be smart at all. Who was asking for that?

Who asked to make the game harder? The goalies better? My kids cannot play the game even on rookie! The cpu and specially the goalies are on steroids! Who asked for that? And all those challenges requiring like 5 or 6 goals on Superstar to get a TINY chance to get x factor or a power up icons you like? Who asked for that? The community???

I'm pretty sure I see many discussion about rewards and specific cards being too hard to get by casual players. Where are those changes asked many times by the community?

This game has been WAAAAAYYYY to easy for years. If your kids cannot play on Rookie then maybe they’re not old enough for a game like this yet. My 4 year old routinely plays with me on rookie all the time and scores like 1-2 goals on accident without even realizing what he’s doing 

@KlariskraysNHL Okay, fair enough. Then if the Dev’s really are responsible for such a baffling decision might as well come out and say why they made the choice. Everyone would have a lot more respect for them if they did and it would be a dead issue. Instead we get the same stock answer every year. “We are aware of how the community feels about this, and hope to have more information at a later date.

just flat out come out and say “HUT players want to play as many 3 minute games as possible and do t want to have to be inconvenience into pressing one button to skip a cutscene. That is who we are focused on right now”

@Caliboy6262_714Sadly you won't hear their reasoning for it. It was believed it caused desync problems last year. Maybe they haven't found a fix for it and/or maybe they going a different way with presentation that will take a bit longer to implement. Trust me they know people want presentation back, but only time will tell if NHL 25 brings back presentation and how it's brought back.

Speaking for myself personally I'm a 6s player and the less presentation type stuff besides stat tracking the better for my experience. I'm 100% about gameplay. I'm sure there are people like me who play 6s only and want all the presentation too. I understand you all want it back, but the only answer sadly is wait and see what happens in NHL 25 which I know is a sad answer to give.

@Caliboy6262_714I don't think you got my point. don't like it, don't play it kind of answer... Yes the game was too easy in the past, even on highest difficulty. But why changing easiest difficulty that much? I play on superstar and I did all the challenges. The game is not too hard for me. But I still not understand who decided to make the easiest difficulty that challenging for those who prefer easy mode? Who asked for that? Competitive players don't care about rookie level so you don't have to change that! If the rookie difficulty is dumb easy, in what it change your experience? When you choose to play on easy or doing an easy challenge, you really expecting something challenging? That's not what easy supposed to be!

I still like to play Hut Rush on rookie to just clear the objectives. But why now on rookie even one-timer are so hard? And goalies are superstar level? I get it, we all want the game to be challenging, but also on rookie? Why even having 5 difficulty levels if the only goal is making the gam harder on every levels?

I know blaming everything on HUT is what everyone likes to do, but if we only cared about that mode, the game would be called NHL HUT 24. Feedback from players in all modes is going to be considered along with our own vision of what we feel is good for the game. The biggest challenge is time. We simply can't act on all the feedback received in a year the following year. Which is also why we've said there are plans to expand offline modes over the next 3 years. Presentation will also get updates.

Every year people complain the game is a copy and paste from the previous one. We've made some big presentation changes as part of that feedback. Now we're being told presentation from previous games is being preferred. I definitely understand not everyone is liking these changes. We want the game to feel fresh and new. This means it may have aspects that you don't see on TV. If we replicated only what you see in a typical broadcast package, we'd probably continue to get complaints that nothing changes. There are always going to be years where something new is introduced and it may or may not hit the mark. We can't find out without trying though.
