Club Matchmaking

What’s the point of having player rank and levels if they’re not being used for matchmaking? My club mates and I got the game a couple weeks ago and play 2-3 times a week. We’re constantly getting paired up with other players who are Platinum or higher player rank and have already prestiged. We’re all silver level and highest xp level is 22. Getting pretty tired of being matched with hardos. What gives? No skill based matchmaking?
