  • I mean it's a very iffy call imo.  Looks like instead of doing a boardplay you went and did a holding sticklft which would I think dislodge the puck after awhile and get you the penalty.  Obviously not an ideal call but that is how I am seeing it.

the puck is between us it would be a puck battle for the puck lifting the stick is what you would do ,interference would be if the puck is no where us

It does appear you triggered a stick tie-up and when this action is performed anywhere other than the net front, you’ll always get called for interference.

the reason being is that in order to do a stick tie up, neither of you needs to currently be in possession of the puck.

Although I understand the puck is in between you and you’re on valid ground to battle for it, the game logic simply sees you executing a tie up outside of the net front, which triggers the penalty.

Yeah the game doesn't like you doing that especially outside of the faceoff dots.  Since the puck is nowhere near they just call the penalty.  Obviously in real life it wouldn't get a call but in the game they call it because it's an action with the puck not near.  Now if the puck was on the way then a well timed lift wouldn't get called I would think.

We're aware of this and other issues with interference. Thank you.
