Franchise Mode points?

My first thought when someone says their top players aren't scoring is coaching, but you say you have an A+ coach, so we have to look elsewhere.

First, what the mix of player types on your top line?  If it's all snipers or all playmakers, that may be the problem.  Ideally you'd want to have one playmaker, one sniper, and one TWF or PWF (or a 2nd sniper) for the 1st line.

Another thing to look at is your powerplay--how is it doing?  If it's underperforming, mix up those PP lines and/or look for an Associate Coach with A+ PP rating.

Unfortunately I've looked at all that and tried so many different combinations of teams, lines etc. Kinda just feel like the game is rigged against the user team considering how difficult it is to get players to score points or the team to win games despite skill levels. 

I was wondering if there's anything else in the settings that could help this though? I've tried the attribute slider to no avail. Any other settings that may help, or any secret tips that could change things?
