What additional access will we have to edit our franchise experience in NHL 25?Really hoping for the ability to edit strategies, player positions and players attributes in general. Bought every version since 2001 and want full control back. The other EA titles do it? Why not NHL?

This is my main concern as well. The lack of creative control over my franchise mode really limits my enjoyment of it. I can't think of another sports game that is as restrictive as NHL. Ideally, the series will start to go more in the direction of 2K's NBA series in regards to creative freedom. I want to be able to force wins, force trades/signings, edit contracts and attributes, edit draft prospects, change appearances and biographical information of generated players, etc. It would really alleviate a lot of the annoyances in the game mode. Until some basic options are opened up, I just can't really get excited about the game.

What's more likely, the NHL is so actively involved in the development of the game that they are forcing EA to remove certain features of the game that have zero implication on the NHL or it's players or, EA just hasn't implemented those features in the game yet? For years, people thought the NFL was the reason why Madden didn't have a true, create-a-team, turns out that was not the case and EA just hadn't developed the feature. I think it's extremely obvious what the answer is for why certain things aren't in the game and it has nothing to do with the NHL.

Regardless, it's "late" in the grand scheme of things considering the game's soft launch is in less than 2 weeks.

The Franchise news is not late. It's scheduled for mid September. We didn't get an actual day. Regardless, it's now the middle of the month so news should be coming soon.

Thanks, its certainly been rough. Lots of hospital visits and stays, regular check ins and travelling out of city for Children's Hospital visits with various specialists. I would not wish it on anyone, but it has drawn us much closer/tighter as a family. I have severe health issues myself, and gaming has been both my son and my own escape from reality. We deal with what life throws us, as that is really all you can do. Appreciate the kind words, wasn't the purpose of my post, but appreciate the concern nonetheless.
