Goalies

Hello. I don't have any details on why this happens, but we are aware of it. Hopefully, we'll see this improved in the future.

The way EA has worked on all these sweet dekes and the ice-iq I assumed the goaltending had been worked on. I hadn't played an NHL game in a few years but I decided to pick 25 up. While I will admit I am truly enjoying the game, I used to play goalie. Went all the way to college. These goalies need the same love and attention you guys give the forwards. I have 2 clips that come directly to mind. 1, I'm behind my net, take a weak slapper, goalie goes down does not move and it goes in between the skate and post? As far as I'm aware ANY goalie would have played the puck. 2, a clip of a goalie looking like he's having almost a seizure on his left, glove side post in a butterfly, he sticks his blocker behind his back and his stick gets caught in the net. This I'm sure isn't average. But the long shot goals? Really? The fact that when you play goalie in game he won't stand in a relaxed upright position unless he's there for a long time? Nah watch some hockey, it doesn't matter what league. That pucks out of the zone and he's relaxing for a second. The way goalies in this game can hardly pass the puck is hilarious. Again to watch some hockey. Most goalies can literally float the puck from end to end, at your shoulders if the wanted. Its like you don't speak to goalies about how they should function or behave. Get a goalie to work there for their INVALUABLE input. Thanks for reading.

Yeah, goalie needs by far the most attention. I personally almost never play goalie but I'd like to see the position rebuilt and have more human goalies in the game. It seems like the animations in the game are not triggering properly sometimes and their awareness seems really bad. I still think a big issue is how easily and quickly we can move the puck around and use their perfect tracking against them. I think perhaps making the game a bit more "messy" would be better. Going BH,FH, BH too quickly could lose the puck if your skater has low puck handling. More missed passes.. maybe we need to time the 1T. Right now it's just so easy to be near perfect on offense so goalies have to face the result of those plays far more often than they should. 

I'd suggest board battles, net front battles and fights also feel really clunky and could use some polish. Ideally I'd make it to where you don't HAVE to drop the gloves if you don't want to. We see that in the NHL but in the game I'm forced to fight and take myself out of the game for a clean hit.
