Community ManagerLiterally all they needed to do was take away that stupid magnet/vacuum effect that makes the hitting so much easier. Take that away and hitting becomes hard and skillful again. It's really that simple. Instead the devs, or studio director or whoever, decided to come up with this complicated wind up system... what a mess. Typical EA, you ask them the time and they want to build you a watch.
Truculence adds some hit assistance. Otherwise, there's no magnet or vacuum effect. I'm a little confused about your statement though. You want hitting to require skill, but the new system is too hard for you? Winding up for hits is more realistic than just running into someone. It also takes more skill. So, how was the old system of hitting more skill based than the current one?
It's not hard, it is unnecessary. Then why not make hitting a 15 button combo, that would make it even MORE skill based!! 🙄
There is absolutely a magnet/vacuum effect without truculence, quit coping.
And you wonder why this franchise is in such a sad state.

Can you get a video showing the vacuum effect without using Truculence? I've confirmed it doesn't exist. It's a simple down and up movement. Or you can use Total Control if you need it to be easier. I personally like this style of hitting. It feels like it takes more skill and has a better feeling in general than just aiming the right stick and running in to someone.
I'll try to find some online EASHL matches in NHL23 to test, will be tough with Matchmaker only as the only way to connect to online games.
EA_Aljo the vacuum magnet effect was on 23 and years before . Thats why people complained which seemed to be why they changed it to this absolute trash wind up hitting literally not realistic at all if you've ever played up hockey in real life. I've played my whole life and not once have i ever flailed forward like you see in this game lol. Hitting was so much better in 23 than in 24/25. You also got to realize if hitting is as timed as it is now Ping comes into play heavy. If you play people with 90+ ping the lag could create a missed hit or at the very least a soft hit. Again there was zero reason for the Hitting to get changed but that's what EA does unfortunately. They take stuff that really doesn't need a change just needs a tweak and ruins it. I think the funniest part about it is They change hitting the last 2 years has been this wind up hitting basically timed. But failed to do anything till 26 with guys spinning around like tops going for the hip check😅I mean come on...

The claim was that the magnet effect is still in the game. So, I wanted to see it in 25 and 23. It's not in 25. Again, except for Truculence which has some assistance.
