Lack of Penalites

Yeah. We've had some reports that there weren't enough penalties being taken by AI players.

Wait… there’s people complaining about a lack of penalties lol? I thought it was pretty decent other than the weird boarding penalties when the opposing player is checked away from the board

Just cause I'm curious, what are you considering a lack of penalties? I'm an online player so we play 4 minute periods, roughly 1/5 of an nhl game (60 minutes) and the NHL averages 11.8 penalties per game, (7 in just the regular season, depending on where you want to take your numbers from). This would roughly be 2.4 (1.4) a game for us, and while yes penalty time is shortened I don't think 24 minutes of penalty time for a video game would be fun for players. I will admit some guys naturally know not to hit certain buttons when their attributes are low and be more disciplined but I would say this is a pretty accurate and fair number to aim for. Not to mention I would say to also keep the game fun for players, yet competitive and disciplined EA wouldn't want them in the box for half a game. Just my thoughts, I understand not everyone thinks this way.

Hey there. We've had other reports of this as well. The team is aware of it. I don't have any details on when it'll be addressed though. It's possible it might have to wait for a future game.
