Make it make sense! Why does EA want so much control over my franchise league?

It's disgusting we have less options than we did 10 years ago and beyond lol. Is this serious right now?

Why does EA need to decide if I can make trades between other teams, edit player stats and hair, and turn off contract clauses altogether for the whole league?

These are such simple basic things I can't believe Im even here. Yeah yeah it's EA, but this isn't normal. Or wasn't at least. You USED to be able to edit player stats of any one at any time in franchise/season. Contract clauses didnt exist of course, but why are you forcing them on me lol? 
There is ZERO effing reason we can't control literally every aspect of franchise/season should we choose to do so.

I put in the last part because I know some idiot will come in and say they dont want that much of a headache and therefore no one should have options they dont like. Leave video gaming forever. 

So, am i just stupid and cant figure out how to do this stuff midseason, or did EA actually decide they need to determine what MY OFFLINE franchise mode entails. This company gets worse every day.
