Try doing it with sims 3 camera controls enabled .
Press command and the up/down keys.

Try using the alt key to rotate off the grid.

It is good that the controls are working for you now :)

Hi @rosemow, I appreciate your suggestion, but the following commands all do the same thing as far as camera angle. I'm looking to tilt the camera perspective similarly to how you would nod your head. There all control the camera sideways to the right and left. Or rotate similarly to how you would pivot your head to look to the right or look to the left.

A - Move camera left
S - Move camera backward
D - Move camera right
< - Turn camera left
> - Turn camera right
COMMAND UP/DOWN ARROW - moves camera up or down

These all do the same thing.

This is really driving me nuts!! I can't figure out perspective nor can I rotate items off grid. Shouldn't there be some kind of official game play guide for macs? I can't find one in game at all!

Yeah you have to switch to the TS3 mode to do the camera tilt.

Ok, switched to TS3 mode and that fixed the perspective up and down, but how do I rotate around?? moving the arrow keys just serves to move the camera sideways. But I can't rotate.

Also I'm still unable to move an object off the grid or rotate it off the grid. Any ideas there?

Alt works for moving off grid!!

You rotate objects like how you would in previous games. Just hold down left click and move your mouse left or right.

Hey, I wasn't sure where to post this but it's in relation to Mac controls. I use a 15" 2018 MacBook Pro with the iMac you can purchase the extended keyboard which includes the Number pad. However these can still be pricey so after searching for a cheaper alternative I discovered an app called Numpad. It's available on iOS app software and enables you to turn your phone into a Numeric Keyboard, allowing you to cycle through swatches using the app + key on the phone screen and change the wall view using the End key. The connection process is fairly simple and I followed a tutorial that was on Vimeo. You can just search Numpad. app on Google.
