Thank you for listening with the projected goalies widget!
I am a huge fan of the additional control, but I really hate the conversation engine. If it’s around 10 times faster than it was in previous years it might not be so bad, though. Menu speed is going to be more essential than ever this year.

Okay, now that I’ve read the blog post:
- can we edit attributes within a franchise?
- I take it we can’t edit the position and HAVE to go through the conversation engine?
- will players start retiring at a more realistic time instead on 90% of them playing into their 40’s?
- will the expansion draft allow for more than one team?
- will we be able to add expansion teams midway through a franchise and not only at the start?

We’ve been asking for editing players since they removed it in 2021. Crazy how 4 full years later and we still don’t have it. I’m positive we can’t edit them still since they definitely would’ve highlighted that in their video.
the conversation engine looks sooooooo annoying and tedious lol.
that’s why the won’t give us more than 25 years as a GM, it’ll take 25 years IRL to get through the conversations.
as usual, a neat idea but not great implementation.. way too heavy on it.
there’s tons of new menus, some that are kind of insignificant in my opinion so if the menu responsiveness is as slow as it has been for decades, franchise mode is gonna be even more of a chore.- kyl_351 year agoSeasoned Ace
We cant even blame lack of effort. I assume it was quite a bit of work to get all these conversation choices added to the game, but I’m betting it would’ve been a lot easier to just open up editing and leave the new conversations for the no trade clauses/contract negotiations.
I’ll still give them kudos for the idea they were going for, though.
