Just thought of another question. Its not franchise mode per se but not sure where else to put it.
Will we be able to have a 3rd pk forward unit?
Most teams run 3 forward units and 2 defensive pairings. It annoys me that the EA series has always had just 2 forward units that were then always exhausted.
It looks good, will have to see in person. The whole package would have been including connected franchise, so that's a big bummer and is ultimately the deciding factor for me not buying the game this year. I'm happy franchise mode got much needed attention, just wish they would have completed the full experience.
There were 3 PK units in 24, so I imagine there still is in 25.

It's like I have felt since the interview talking about GM Connected. Sometimes these things take time and seeing Franchise mode getting a facelift gives hope that we will be getting a much requested mode in the future hopefully.

I only play franchise mode and I still won't buy this if we can't fully edit things like hair and player information.
If all these UI changes are gonna happen and yet we can't use the basic options that are greyed out, just sitting there unusable for years. I don't want to spend 90$CAD on a fluffed up version of NHL 24 franchise mode, I don't even use cap space or morale, I try and balance it myself to get my own fair game.
Not hearing about any of this in the video gives me no hope for long overdue basic changes yet again, please prove me wrong EA.
Wanna bet we still have those same standard goalie helmet colours/ designs since I swear literally before NHL 10.
Noticed the ticker at the bottom still has instances of lag - why does this keep happening?
I'm also concerned about #3. I went through a whole 25 year franchise mode and I gave up on the Draft Pick interviews in year 2 because they took so long and were so repetitive. I like the changes, but I'm concerned that they are leaning into a system that is not popular with anyone I know.
