NHL 26 No Club Bags

Hi,

I remember the idea was to get rid of player bags. NHL26 should follow this concept even further. First, no more bags with coins in them. And another great addition to the game would be getting rid of the club bags. Instead, you can earn and save club points and buy the club items you want. The same what we have for individual players right now. It would also be great to introduce club challenges, such as winning the next three games to earn more club points as a reward and unlock more items you really want. This would also give clubs with less playing time the opportunity to save up for a bigger stadium or other end-game club items. It would fit perfectly into the new “no bags" concept of the game and make this concept more consistent.

What do you think?

Hey there. It would for sure be nice to not have to open bags. We'll have to wait and see what changes are coming for the store in the future. I'll pass your feedback on to the team. Thanks!

That would be a fantastic change. Imagine not having to rely on luck but being able to organize and customize your club the way you want. You could also gradually enlarge the stadiums or at least buy the stadium you want. Great idea.

As always, thank you for the fast response Aljo. Thanks, I guess such a feature would be already too much effort to implement for 26 at this point in time.

At this point, the features are locked in for the next game so if this feature hasn't changed, it most likely wouldn't until a game farther out. It's just too early since we haven't announced what's coming yet.

I agree...after years of progressing through the World of Chel with our club, the monotonous grind to unlock better stadiums/jersey sets is annoying. Half the time we dont even attempt to customize our club until we've played for a month or so b/c its pointless at the start. My club usually plays at least once a week in the summer (about 5-6 games a night depending) and 2 nights a week in the winter. Its annoying starting completely fresh every year after we've unlocked all of the club stuff toward the end of the lifecycle of the game. (maybe give returning clubs the option to select a jersey set/socks/pants/stadium to unlock off the rip as a reward for returning?)  We dont play woc to "unlock" gear. We are playing to play hockey with our buds online. Id rather the base customization just be there for teams. Let us have an NHL rink to start (just one) let us have logos on our jerseys off the rip. Honestly let teams start with more options than the default jersey arena ect. For progression, let us acquire club coins and use those to purchase the jersey/font/socks/pants/arena combo we want. I cant tell you how many times we've unlocked that stupid junior rink that has the 4 sheets of ice in it, and have never used that arena once. Same goes for jersey sets. There are some that we unlock that we have never touched in 4 years. I know these changes wouldnt come this yr if not implemented, but just more feedback on the subject.

Yeah, I hear ya. My club is also more into playing together than the customization. For many though, those custom options are part of what they play for. Regardless, I get what you're saying and it would be good to carry your club over to the next game and at least start with more than the basics. We've had this feedback previously so the team is aware of it. I'll be sure it gets relayed though.

Thanks so much for taking the time to give us some input on this. Appreciate it.
